wow...i was actually spontaneous! it was a crazy fun night last night. the battle of the bands went pretty well - a lot of work though - but all in all the people had a good time, and the bands definitely rocked out. the highlight though, was all the old friends of mine that showed up! it's been forever since i've seen so many of those people!!! anthony jose, justin waller, emily flores, erick encinas, melissa ramirez, marsinah netto, john burgos, josette descalzo, mark tescon, sal eliazo (WOOHOO! GO INVID!!!), shit and even KELLY SELNER! it was totally cool chillen and hanging out with all of them. i havent seen some of them since we graduated 8th grade!!! 10 years ago!!! it was sooo cool just kicking it with them. we were actually having such a good time chillen and catching up, that a few of us decided to take a random road trip to pechanga! me, teen, erick, sal, anthnoy (aka chovies), and mark packed it into teen's benzo and drove down. it was hilarious!!! looking at the guys sitting in the back was classic! i'm never gonna forget them. that night is definitely full of memories we'll never forget...from WILD THING, to the "ocean", to "racking it in", to "ranchoo cucamonga". it was good times with good friends. this was definitely the best way to catch up and have a reunion!

aaahhh...i'm so happy, i had fun...now i'm fuckin tired, but i cant sleep cuz then i'd never get up in time to go to class...hahaaa...it's all good. it was worth it!

wow...tonight was fun! we went out to celebrate Yap's birthday and i had a really good time. i felt kinda bad that not everyone had fun, but dude, some people just arent so fun anymore. i dont know what happened to us. i guess we are just growing apart. but eh...whatever. i had a super good time!

the night started off with me, connie, n yappers (the bday girl) meeting up at my house cuz teen, jay, n mika were gonna go together - a little late. so whatever, me, connie, n yap meet up then head off to elephant bar where yap and i had decided to have dinner. it was pretty cool. we had a good time. we got to hang out, talk, and just basically enjoy each other's company. so yeah...after dinner, we all go pick up grapes, then head out to the Conga Room to help support my friend Charles's CD release party. it was cool. yeah, some people didnt feel like drinking or dancing, or really talking even, but whatever. i made the most of my night. i got my drink on, i got my walk on, and i definitely got my talk on. that didnt really amke sense, but you know what i mean. when some of my friends started being a little boring i went to talk to or hang out with other people. i surfed the crowed, i socialized on my own - and i had a good time! it was fun hanging out with michelle, jeannine, and their other friend. haahaaa...shit, i already forgot her name! whatever...it was definitely good times, plus yap was super drunk - it was hilarious! we've got pictures, we'll, mich has pics, and they'll definitely be up as soon as i get them from her!

after the conga room started to die out, misty was craving some serious Leo's so we headed out there, and duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude! it was frickin packeD! that was the most packed i've ever seen it! it was like everyone and not just their mom's but their mom's and dad's were there! we saw sal, vince, jon, n eric (missing arnold) aka INVID, chilled and talked to them a bit, then ended up seeing some of my st. dom's friends, jason, jorge, oat, mocha, etc. they had all just come from fabric. it was fun. good times catching up with friends and just chillen, good times...

so yeah. we went to the conga room, most of our friends left us early, but we still had a good time. we ate, had planned for it to be quick, but again, we made the best of it. in short, you can sit around waiting for something to just suddenly be fun. it's up to us to make our situations fun.

today was a pretty good day.

oooo...and before i start to get into my daily (kinda) re-cap...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAY N RIANN!!!

SOOOO...today was a good day...

i ended up just chillen with monch all day. i picked hiim up around 11 before we headed out to long beach to visit his aunt. ha. i let his ass drive - OMG - he drives soooooo SLOW!!! it was killing me! i was like, forget this - let me drive!!! it was just funny. we made new trading deals for when he goes home. im gonna get a gift from him every month!!! woohoo!!! i'm gonna have fob movies and cds galore! fun times...anyways. after long beach, we headed back towards home to have lunch - L&L BBQ = yummmmmmy! it was good.

after lunch, monch still had a few gifts to buy for people back home, so we hit up target, then made a trip to the wb to hang out and chill on the lot. haahaaa...we didnt really spend a lot of time there, but monch had such a good time! it wasnt like the last time we went where we saw stars galore, but it was fun anyways. so yeah. after walking around the wb a bit, we decided to actually drive around the lot cuz i've never done that before...it was funny. this tour guide drove by us and waved at us like we were famous! and Monch waved back!!! haahaaaaaaa...it was hilarious...but i guess you had to be there.

eh...whatever...so yeah. after wb, we started to head home, but then realized that it's hotter at our houses (or mine or willards), so we decided to go to the mall for some free air conditioning!! we walked around a bit before realizing that i had forgotten to go to the pharmacy to pick up my meds! bad me! so we headed over to the glendale pharmacy to pick up my meds, and unfortunately - they were closed. boooooo on them!

oh well...after our attempt at the pharmacy, we decided it was time to call it quits, so i dropped him off at willard's place so that i could go to my Young Adult meeting tonight. we actually got a lot of stuff done there. plus i got to have dinner at pat and oscars, a place i dont normally drive out to. so it was cool (their breadsticks are BOMB!).

after my meeting, i ended up going back to willard's to get monch, hazel, and kate so that we could go see a movie. we ended up watching Mr. 3000 = eh. it was alright. i had wanted to go see wimbledon, but i got out voted! the bastards. haahaaa...but it was okay...it had some funny parts, and it reminded monch and i of our day cuz coincidentally some of the stuff we had been talking about throughout the day was in the movie! it was funny.

and now i'm home...while my friends are all out partying for jay's bday...i kinda wish i went, but i knew i wasnt gonna make it in time and i definitely didnt wanna drive out to hollywood by myself when i knew for sure i wasnt gonna be able to drink cuz i'd have to drive. bleh...oh well...i hope they're all drinking it up for me!

i ended up having fun. i was planning on having a quiet night at home watching tv and just vegging, but i ended up heading out to drew's house to chill for a bit. drew got me an autographed picture of Julian McMahon (cole from Charmed, or Dr. Troy from Nip/Tuck!!!) plus a color head shot of the guy that plays the other doctor...shit. i know his name! whatever...it seems to have escaped me at the moment - and im too lazy to look it up. bleh. but whatever. i just wanted to say that i enjoyed my night chillen at "the pad". i love my friends...

haahaaa...im already called in sick for tomorrow so i'm gonna enjoy my day off. shopping with monch, lunch with connie maybe...hmm...we'll see what else i've got planned. we'll see what happens...

yesterday was soooo much fun!!!! it was a great day! it was a good day to be "sick". i decided, since it was Kris's last day in LA ( =(...im sad...im gonna miss my kasama!) i was gonna take the day off and chill with him. it was sooooo fun. kris, herbie, bobby, and i decided that we were gonna hit up "the wb" to pass our time. it was crazy. herbie n bobby had never been there, and kris and i had wanted to do some dvd shopping, so kris n i decided to be tour guides for the day. it was totally crazy.

i started off my day at 10am (when i woke up) by getting up and doing a little chatting, completing some work, and just finalizing some plans for the day. i ended up chatting too long, then had to rush the rest of the morning. off i went to the bank before meeting up with the boys for some chillen. we all ended up meeting at my house around 12, and since drew said we wouldnt be able to get on lot until 1230, we decided to play a quick game of CAPS before heading out to met up with drew n ariel for lunch. the frickin wb cafeteria was crazy! it was so frickin packed! it's pretty crazy. it looked like everyone on the lot was either taping or rehearsing yesterday! i had lunch with a few of the stars from the west wing sitting behind me. i'm telling you all - yesterday was totally a day of star watching! we saw quite a bit of the cast from the west wing, ER, and Gilmore Girls!!! we actually ended up watching the cast from Gilmore Girls hang out in between scenes on the lot. it was fun! i think we walked through the ER trailers about 6 times yesterday and we were just waiting for someone to come out! we actually lucked out and we got to see Moira Tirney come out of hers. fun stuff.

aside from just being stupid around the lot, it was really cool hanging out with the "boy power". we've never had a day like this. the girls are usually with us and of course, with any change in composition, the dynamic is always different. although i missed my "girl power", it was a nice change chillen' with the boys. we were laughing the whole day! good times man...good times...we're definitely going to do it all again sometime soon!

okay...now i'm back. so anyways, as i was saying...this weekend went pretty good. i guess it started off pretty good. since the luau went so well, by the end of the night, although we were all tired as hell, we still had enough energy to actually hang out. so after the luau, teen, jay, gary, tanya, herbie n i headed out to the original LC to just chill and enjoy each other's company. it was pretty fun. we were just being stupid, and laughing the whole time...i cant believe it, my old ass actually ended up staying out past 2!!! crazy, huh?

anways...saturday, was another good day. i got to sleep in cuz i didnt have class until 1, then after it was cool. cuz i ended up getting out of class by 3! isnt that just beautiful?! woohoo! it's pretty good that i got out early too cuz i got a chance to go shopping and i ended up picking up a little something for both jay n anna before we all met up for our little shindig that night.

saturday night was really fun. we ended up having dinner a our favorite place - Kincaid's - I'm sure everyone enjoyed their food. that place never disappoints! the waiter was cute too! haahaa...i know teen thought so! anna made sure everyone knew teen thought so! it's always a good night when we get to chill with anna's friends - rita, wowie, and sharon - those girls are HILARIOUS! i actually ended up riding in the car with them, and i can only say that they're definitely entertainment! just be careful if you're riding with rita driving - she has a tendency to scream (at the top of her lungs) when she's excited. after dinner we decided we wanted to hit up a bar and just chill and talk, so we headed for the chalet, but got stuck in traffic, so we changed our minds and headed to silverlake instead. off we went to spaceland, but there was a cover, so we said forget that and we ended up at the red lion tavern. now that place is frickin cheap! a great place to chill and just have a few drinks with some friends. we had a good time. it's so crazy - we actually ran into some old classmates of ours (carolyn, sonya, and abril) from st. dom's! we ended up having a good night catching up with them. i actually got carolyn's number and we're gonna hang out for sure.

anyways, not all the gals were drinking (mika, yap, rita, sharon, n grapes - all were NOT drinking), so we decided to head out of there and have our own "Mission Impossible" scenario...all i can say is that it was FUN!!! i think that was the most fun we've all had together in a lot time. plus it really built some friendships for me. i've just realized why anna loves those holy friends of hers. they're fun to be with. all in all, it was a good bonding experience, so now teen, jay, grapes, mika, n yap owe me, sharon, rita, n anna dinner at the marketplace! woohoo!!! go team!!!

then sunday - that was chill day. unfortunately i had class in the morning, but it's all good. i ended up spending a good part of the afternoon with kris (since he's leaving for sd pretty soon (yeah, yeah, im gonna miss my kasama!) just chillen and doing random things...shoooot...but when i got home i was totally pooped! i was knocked out! luckily, i woke up just in time to have dinner n watch some tv! couch potato days - here i come!!! i'm so excited!!!

so yeah...that is all...it was a good weekend...and now i'm happy to be more relaxed...im telling you...couch potato days are in my future!!!

wow...so this weekend has finally come and gone! CANDY RAIN...bringing back the old school has finally come and gone and it was a huge success! thanks go out to everyone that helped out, that showed up, and the just supported us through out all the planning and stuff. i had been a little anxious about the whole thing, but it went great! now, we just need to roll off the steam of this event and hope for the same sort of results at our next event! we've got our battle of the bands coming up and it's going to be good...bleh...i've got to do some work, i'll blog more later...

sooooo...im glad that it's over. the summer is now officially over. the first holiday of the season has now come and gone and i'm quite glad about it. i'm not glad to be back to work after a long weekend, but i'm glad that most of the craziness is over. leadership training is now over and i can relax (kinda sorta).

anways...yesterday was a pretty cool day. i just chilled pretty much. it was (for the most part) a day for me just to hang out with my friends - friends outside of st. dom's. dont get me wrong, i love my sdym peeps - they're more like family now than friends - but it was a nice change hanging out with other people. so yeah...i ended up picking up monch around 10 and we headed out to his cousin's house to visit for a bit. since his cousin's house is so close to my work, we ended up calling connie out to come have lunch with us after. after lunch with connie, monch and i decided to head out to a new mall (well, new to him) so we went to the beverly center for a little bit. i should've known, but there were absolutely NO LABOR DAY SALES over there! what's up with that?! i did, however, end up walking out of the mall with a new skirt! =) so yeah, after we struck out at beverly center, we headed to some known territory - the glendale galleria. dude, there moncho tore it up! he ended up buying so much stuff to take home with him. it was funny. so after shopping, i found myself quite tired, so he and i headed off to my house for a little rest before we met up with connie for dinner.

so...if you know me, you should know that i'm not really a spicy food kinda girl, so last night when we went out to dinner, i was totally out of my element. it was just soooo not me. since monch loves curry, i decided to take him to this place that i know paul n jay love. it's called curry house and it's in J-Town. crazy huh? eh...so connie, kookee, monch and i ended up having dinner there last night, and they all LOVED IT! haahaa...too bad they didnt really have anything else on the menu...but it's cool. the pork katsu i had was pretty good.

sooo...yeah - after dinner, we headed back home cuz i still had to get those stinking flyers out to different leaders to get them passed out at their schools.

bleh...it's in God's hands now...we can only pray that CANDY RAIN goes well...

wow...i cant wait for this weekend to be over. once this weekend ends, the summer will officially be over, and i can start getting back to my couch potato lifestyle...kinda. the craziness of leadership training will be over, and then all i have to worry about is confirmation, and thankfully we're in second year so it shouldnt be that hectic. we're all seasoned veterans now with extremely good training under our belts, so it's (hopefully) gonna be a piece of cake getting back into the groove of things.

these past few days have just gone by in a blur. it's been so crazy, but these past two days of the retreat have gone really well. today i've got a better understanding of why our planning team for confirmtion works so well. we really work well together. last night, after some miscommunication, some irritation, and some mild panicing, we learned we can pull off an awesome prayer service in a matter of minutes if we put our minds together...and tonight was also definite proof of our teamwork skills. tonight's prayer service was really beautiful, and it really was a calaborative effort. i'm really proud of what we did tonight - well, what we did the whole weekend actually. it seems that even though we didnt get the chance to have a real retreat and go into nature, everyone still came away with the same feeling of togetherness, renewed, and ready to start the coming year. it went really well, and i'm quite glad...

next is the big sdym party on friday night...it's gonna be huge, it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be great...tell all you friends...buy tickets pre-sale from any of the leaders $5 or you can get them $7 at the door! come! it's gonna be fun!!!

tonight i realized that i often take my life for granted. i've really been blessed in my life with so many loving, caring people, that at times i dont even notice it. it's pretty crazy. i've got just about everything a person could ask for, and a lot of times i dont stop to thank God or my parents or my sister, or my friends for all that they've done to help me grow.

i guess i just wanted to say was that i'm really lucky to have all the opportunities that i have, the luxuries that i have, etc...and i guess i'm just telling everyone not to take for granted the things that they have...
