so...it's been a little while since i've last blogged...well, at first i was just too lazy to blog whenever i was at home. well, it was more like i just didnt feel like going online when i got home after a long day being at the computer at work. but now i cant go online at home even if i wanted to! im currently in the process of moving my dsl line so they had to disconnect it. booooo...
haahaa...well, not so bad for me cuz i get to use the computer here at work, but it totally sux for the three of them sitting at home staring at each other cuz none of them can log on! haahaa...eh. oh well. this time will be good for them - they'll actually have to d something more constructive with their time!
anyways...quite a few things have happened since i last blogged. the summer is just so totally hectic for me! i've just been going non-stop for weeks now...it's like i dont even get any rest. here's the re-cap:
first of all, i've pretty much decided to go ahead with the whole
young adult ministry thing. i spoke to
fr. raymond about it in passing last wed (while i had it all still fresh in my mind) and he really seemed behind it. i'm now moving on to figuring out a game plan for it all. once i have that all done i'm going to schedule a formal meeting with fr. raymond to get the approval i need, and to actually put it all into action. this past sunday,
monica, angelo, bobby, and i actually went to our very first Young Adult Event - and it was very cool. we went to this thing called
"Theology on Tap" that was sponsored by the
San Fernando Ministry for Young Adults. The topic last Sunday was: "Was there a Mrs. Jesus? Cracking the Da Vinci Code and Other Conspiracy Theories". Although they didnt really answer all the questions I (or others there) may have had, the speaker, Bill Shaules was informative, nonetheless. It felt so good to go to an event that was geared towards me (or people closer to my age) where I didnt have to work so hard to feel some sort of fulfillment. Anyways. the point is that I had a good time, and i'm sure
Monica, Angelo, and Bobby did too - we're all planning on going to the next 3!
dang - sunday was a super long day. besides TOT, we had our first pancake breakfast to support our WYD Fund. eh. i was up at the crack of dawn to get stuff ready for the event, and we did alright...nothing big. i personally dont think the amount of money we made was worth all the trouble we went through, but who am i to say? money's money. oh well. we ended up finishing up at st. dom's around 1 and i had just enough time to run home and rest a little bit before teen came over - btw -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEEN!!! anyways, when she got to the house, we headed off to ate lissa's house for Ty's birthday party. he is just sooooo cute! the first thing he did when we got there was make a mad dash for presents!!! and he said, "i'm gonna open my present now"
as we were walking through the gates!!! he is just the cutest little boy!!! and this was all before i even headed out to my MYA event! and that was just sunday!!!
well, if you can read how crazy sunday was, multiply that by 7 and you've pretty much got my week. i'm trying to manage so many things at the same time right now that even i amaze myself! my weeks consiste of waking up, going to work, going to the gym or tita rubi's to hang out, going to st. dom's for some sort of meeting (youth ministry, confirmation, young adult, parish council - and the list goes on and on...), then go home, sleep, and repeat. i'm just struggling to find some time to fit my other friends in! i cant imagine what's gonna happen when i start school again! oh well...i'll make it, i'll figure it all out - besides, i think i really thrive being busy...
anyways. was that blog long enough for all fo you?! it's been some time and i'll be back again eventually!!! until next time all...take care!
