Aurelia and Flavia and Sextus walk through the woods. It is not yet light but Aurelia and Flavia and Sextus fear nothing. Suddenly they catch sight of a wolf. The wolf runs to Sextus.
“Sextus! You run!” Flavia shouts.
The wolf hears Flavia. It snatches Flavia. Flavia is food for the wolf!
Aurelia wishes to repel the wolf. “Wolf!” she shouts. The wolf hears but does not see. But Aurelia annoys the wolf. The wolf catches sight of the woman and runs to her. Aurelia is food for the wolf! Sextus runs to the country house. Cornelius and Cornelia and Marcus still sleep. “Wolf! Wolf! Bring help!” Sextus shouts. Cornelius and Cornelia and Marcus still sleep. Sextus catches sight of the wolf. It runs to the country house and farm. Again, Sextus tries to wake Cornelius and Cornelia and Marcus. “Wake up! Wake up!” The wolf enters the door. It kills the doorkeeper. Then it enters the bedroom of Marcus. It kills Marcus. Then it enters the bedroom of Cornelia. It kills Cornelia. Then it enters the bedroom of Cornelius. It kills Cornelius. Then it enters the entrance hall. It kills Sextus. Then Davus enters. He kills the wolf. Then he goes down to Rome. Davus is the emperor. Hurray!
