Appearance: Clad in blue clothes from head to foot. A thick dark blue cape draped over him and a dark blue hat on head. His eyes are a deep aqua blue and his skin as a pale tan. His face seems wise and tired with a small welcoming feel to it. He has fiery red hair and old glasses with the lenses tinted black. Not a very tall man, not a very short man. Just the right size too move quickly but still deliver a powerful blow.
Bio: As a young child, he was fascinated with the stars. His father was a skilled map maker and compass crafter. Aquartic tried to learn all he could from his father and wished that someday he would be able to take his profession. However, Aquartics father did not want him to hold such a low job and convinced him to become involved in the church. Aquartic was sent to a monastery where he learned about theology and became ordained as a Reverend. It was the summer of his 16th birthday, while training for priest-hood he received news that his father had been killed. He rushed from the monastery to his home to find his mother in tears. In a hysterical voice, she told him that several soldiers came to question Aquartic VI (Aquartic VII’s father) about selling maps to pirates. She went on about how Aquatic VI refused to give out that information, so they killed him as an example to anyone who would think to help a pirate. Aquartic VII left for the docks that night to look for a ship. He could see the large silhouette of a dark ship sailing across the ocean moonlight in the distance. With determination in his eyes, he steals a small paddleboat and heads for this ship. That dark ship was non-other than the (Ship #1). For 7 years he spent time raising through the ranks of the pirates until he made it to his desired rank of Navigator, where he uses all the skill of navigating he learned from watching his father to defy any soldiers in pursuit of the ship. He will get his revenge someday… Until then, he waits.

Appearance: A native from the island of Jutai, he is tall and dark skinned with dark hair and eyes. He has a meduim build. He keeps a bandana handy around his neck and has his left ear pierced with a gold ring. He wears a black cotton top, a decorated leather vest, and rough brown trousers that only cover his legs to his calves. He wears woolen socks with an almost tribal looking pair of leather shoes. ((mocassins)) he posseses a dark long coat that he wears when cold, and has a gunbelt that fastens around his chest and shoulders, which is for his pistol. He doesn't often carry a sword, but when he does he carries it bound to his right side, as he fights left handed, because he shoots right handed.
Bio: Avaaro being a native from Jutai speaks fluently in his language. At a young age his fatherless family was removed form the island by a lonely merchantman from Kilbrandeen who adopted them. Growing up in Kilbrandeen brought a civil tone to Avaaro's life. He grew up learning ways of the people, and finally was entered into a military school at the age of 14. Not finding it an enjoyable experience he was urged to continue in school by his mother, who had been married to the merchantman fro some time. He decided to stay in for some 2 years and learned from his schooling. He was very interested in Navigation and startegic maps. Which he invested his studies in. He was also a fairly decent swordsman and rifleman. Tragedy struck when his mother was found guilty of a crime she did not commit, racial profiling gained her a guiltiness she did not deserve. The crown had her to be executed, Avaaro's stepfather fought against this, ultimately losing his life to a captain's bullet. Avaaro's mother was finally hung in the city gallows, in public display, this had not been done in their history of living in Kilbrandeen. After coming to terms after grief and self loss, he grew angry at the government of Kilbrandeen and escaped his school and the country and found his way to Fallion. Here he was found in the streets by a gunsmith who took him in. The gunsmith had also been a Kilbrandeenian who sough refuge in Fallion, and educated Avaaro's in the language. The smith educated Avaaro in courtesy and public relations, and later accepted him as an apprentice and educated him on currencies and trade. The gunsmith had been an ex-pirate and spoke of his many travels, this sparked Avaaro's interest in also persuing that way of life. The gunsmith had no opinion to Avaaro's desires and later Avaaro signed secretly to a pirate ship, and found his way through the ranks to Shore Patrol.

Appearance: Unnaturally red hair, short, almost boy-cut in the back, but with long strands in the front that frame her face. The ends of the long front strands are black. As far as cothing goes, she sticks with the simple, the only things of detail that she wears is her father's old uniform jacket, that has been stripped of much of what makes it a military coat. And her boots, which were stolen from the Captain of a military boat in her early years of piracy.
Bio: Born in the outskirts of Kilbrandeen, Phaye was born "Phaye Mattas". She spent her childhood with her mother, a servant in the Palace. At the age of 12, the young girl was caught stealing a necklace from a store in the market. Fearing the worst, her mother shipped her off to sea as a cabin boy aboard a local merchant ship. The night before Phaye left, her mother told her about her father. Her mother did not know much, it had been an affair, but she described what she knew. It was then that she decided to seek out her father, promising to return to see her mother every year (and she still does).

What she knew of her father was his appearance and that he was a man bound to the sea. At the age of 13, Phaye was taken in by a group of would-be pirates, and as they sailed around she started to learn the tails of Captain Brodigan, a fierce pirate well known on the high seas. Finally, two years later, the small group encountered Brodigan's ship. After hearing Phaye's tale, and due to his striking resemblance to the girl's father, he chose to take her in. Phaye believes that he is her father, but whether he is or not is not actually known. So she grew up, and her "father" taught her the talents of sword fighting and pistols. One morning the crew awoke missing their captain. Rumor has it that he sailed off to retirement and is happily living in paradise on one of the uncharted island, also rumored is that Phaye still remains in contact with him to this day, but neither has been proven.

The morning after the Captain's disappearance the question remained who would follow in his footsteps. This question would soon be answered when they were attacked that night, and Phaye proved herself to be an effect captain. Two weeks later the second ship was captured, and the tales of the grand Fell Ravens began.
As for her personality, she takes what she does seriously. One should not question her position, for she is a ruthless protector of those who remain faithful to her and do as she asks. She knows little of politeness and courtesy, they have no use in battle or in strategy. She is good enough looking. She's no beauty queen, how could she be, on a ship most of her life…and she has a tendency to be a bit of a…flirt, if you will. She love's guys, and rum, and having a good time. A classic pirate, if you will. Oh, and feel free to get drunk and sing sea shanties with'er. Believe me, it's worth it.

Golden brown eyes, small nose, 4 piercings on her right ear (only one on the left) partly to detract attention from her crescent moon tattoo on the left hand base of her neck. Standing 4’11” she’s not an intimidating looking character and tends to be overlooked.
Bio: As far as parents go, her father is dead and her mother left when she was 7 years old to take to the seas. Rumor has it that she became a feared pirate.
Tru had been living on the coast of Fallion, on the border of a slum and prosperous city. She spent her 8 years after being abandoned with a fellow street rat, and magic user, named Jyarden. He taught her most, if not all, of her skills including how to read, heal, and use fire magic .
A golden window of opportunity opens for her when Phaye Brodigan's pirate ship attacks the rich city of Fallion. Tru sneaks onto the ship in hopes of becoming a pirate herself and following her mother’s footsteps.

Appearance: Rune makes for an odd-looking pirate. He has medium-length black hair down to his chin at the longest, and his eyes are two different colors - the left blue, the right green – and his skin is fairly pale, but not so much that he burns. He likes to remain fairly clean-shaven, though out at sea that isn't always possible. His usual attire consists of a white shirt with laces crossing a slit at the collar, grey pantaloons, black leather boots, and an overcoat of dark blue with a white rose embroidered on the left shoulder as a sign of his mage status and abilities.
Bio: Rune was raised in a mage community on the island Sabyil. He was very intelligent; he excelled in his magic abilities and literacy, and mastered both the Fallionish and Apolytrice languages. When he was 20, he left for Apolytrat to study, taking passage on a merchant ship that brought materials to the mage establishment. On the way the ship was attacked and looted by pirates and Rune, being young and deluded with fantasies of adventure, stole aboard the pirate’s ship. He lay low for a while, working as a swabbie or in the kitchen while he adjusted and learned how things worked. He made the step up to navigator after he had been aboard the pirate ship for a year or two, and demonstrated his magic abilities by helping the pirates escape from a Vanguard ship. While he doesn't make the best fighter or looter, his skills with the elements have made him an indispensable part of the crew.

Appearance: An old, thin man, with a spiky white beard and mustache, and wild white hair. Dresses simply, in dirty patched-up clothing: a dark blue sleeveless shirt, light blue trousers, red gloves, a red bandanna, and brown cloth shoes.
Bio: Mostly unknown. Pete doesn't talk about his past much; what is known is that he ran away from his home in Djazair when his parents tried to send him to Kilbrandeen for military schooling, somehow wound up working on a ship(probably as a powder monkey), and since then has held various odd jobs with different (sometimes rival) organizations and factions. 50-odd years of living on the sea has given him vast, varied knowledge of the ways of the world and the sea; he can speak a bit of each of the four main languages, navigate by the world around him, act as a doctor, and perform rather illegal actions when called for. However, his greatest passion and skill by far has always been making stuff blow up and fall apart. Pete's fighting style mostly revolves around what he's best at: things that explode and send objects into people at high speeds. He's extremely skilled with all kinds of firearms, and despite his age has quite a lot of dexterity; usually deftly avoiding his opponent’s attacks before quickly disarming them and holding them up at point-blank before they even knew what hit them. Most of his favorite tactics involve powder-kegs: tossing a powder-keg covered in tar into the barrel of an enemy cannon, or to throw a powder-keg into the middle of a group of foes before shooting and detonating it with his pistol.

Appearance: Drake wears a black suit of chainmail to not only give him good mobility but also good protection. He also had a red and black bandanna on his head to show his individuality. The symbol was two swords going in a diagonal cross, in front of a regular cross. He wore a suit of black pants, and a pair of black gloves on his hands. He had deep blue eyes and black spiky hair.
Bio: Drake, or Shadow, as he began to be called. Abandoned his home when he was about 9. He was put to work in school but was caught opening doors that werent meant for him and were locked because of that. He studied lockpicking and began opening those doors, finding out secrets no one needed to know. He was punished and for this he ran away. He lived in the grasslands by himself. He studied pirates in Djazair to learn how to forge swords and guns. He also carried a sword during his stay. He never let go of it since he forged it. It came out almost perfect. One day he stowed away on a pirate ship and was found. He set out to be like the Captain, to be one who commanded a ship and was a master with a sword. A perfect sword fighter. During his stay on the ship he forged another sword. He practiced day by day, it was another near-perfect sword. He practiced using both of the swords at the same time, to perfect the art of dueling with dual-swords. After he made his first rifle he began practicing. He gained the name Shadow for the fact you almost never knew where he was and whereever he was he would be picking off people with his rifle. That or slaying people with his dual-swords.

Appearance: A Middle Aged man. Tall, slim, a tad muscular. Styles pure white hair, long hair to be exact. Enough to make long ponytail, which he does often in fights or duels. Sports the Vanguard uniform, a badge, shaped like an anchor across the left cornor of his chest. And small glasses, uses for reading and such. Sometimes wears the Magus Robe/Cloak over his uniform, seems more like a Cape though.

White skin, and calm blue eyes make Elrich the laid-back personality he has. Occasionally seen with a cigarette in his mouth, and sometimes with that long pipe samurais smoke out of. And yes he sports white gloves as well, along with black shoes or boots, military issued or not. Also he caries a pocket watch with a Lion design in it, a cherished item he holds close. Was his Mothers, and yes his Mother is still alive, but he needs a little family support with him. And he has a Crescent Pendent around his neck, under the thick military Jacket, granted by those who reach the rank of High Mage. Decorated with valuable gems and jewels.
Bio: Ahh the Forest family! A huge family powered by endless money and funds! And also for having fine soldiers enrolling into the army, his father himself a Military General. He wanted to be a scholar under the High Mages in Ivria, but no! Father said to join the Military and crush those wretched pirates! Who call themselves the Fell Ravens! So after his immense years of training in the Temple, in no delay! He was quickly sent off to Fallion, his fellow students and teachers bid him farewell and goodluck! Here he is! At the Military Academy at age 20! He aced the exams, training under several arms here and there, but mostly devoted his time in the fine arts of Magic. The Vanguard trainers saw how well Elrich used his Magic, they decided that they should start recruiting Mages! Being powerful then a Battalion of Cannons, he got his title. The Elemental Artillery. And after 4 years of rigorous training he went to work under the Command of Captain Aureylan and Commodore Mordarke.

Appearance: At first glance, the Inspector is not a very intimidating man. His under-average height, rounded shoulders and lean build tend to make him look weak, incompetant, and easily dominated. This is reinforced by the show-offy clothing he wears: long coats, sharp leather boots, and a high-collared, gold-embroidered vest. In first impressions he always assumes an aura of overconfidence thinly veiling obvious insecurity.

Unlike most seafarers, Thadeus Greyhawk has spent the better part of his life on land, and proportionately more time bathing. A meticulously clean person, he dedicates an astonishing half-hour of his day to hygiene. The result is a man that smells faintly of herbs, with clean, shoulder-length dark grey hair tied at the base of his skull. He is relatively pale; seeing as his duty does not involve manual labor on deck, he spends most of his time out of the sun while onboard.
Bio: From the moment that he could read, Thadeus has been an intellectual. He was lucky enough to grow up an only child in an upper class merchant family, with the ability to nurture his education to the highest point that it could go to in Fallion's system. Unfortunately, his father was a cold, detached man that was more concerned with his occupation than the welfare of his family. The business had long passed its peak and was beginning to thrash with the throes of death, so as a final attempt to prop up the company, the senior Greyhawk resorted to illegal means (assassination, slave labor, black market work) to get the money to pay off the looming debts that plagued him. As all such things do, the enterprise came crashing down horrendously once Mr.Greyhawk's scheming was discovered, and he was hanged publicly to the jeering of the crowd.

This was twenty-one years ago; at the time of his father's death, Thadeus was seventeen years old. He witnessed the trial, the execution, the burning of their home, and the delicious venom of the hatred bubbling up inside him at the inevitability of evil in every person, especially the hypocritical masses. Immediately he veered onto another path of life, the only way in which he knew how to remove the black taint from the world; he supported his broken mother with a job in policing, then slowly, over the years, he jumped through the ranks while simultaneously feeding his knowledge-lust in any way he could. For a while he was the doctor for the capital city's law enforcement, but because of his unsympathetic nature he was quickly elevated to a tax-collector and onward.

Eventually, Greyhawk became an Inspector, infamous for just how thorough and vicious he could be (and the loot which sometimes disappeared mysteriously and uncomplained). The taint on his father's name has faded; rarely does anyone confront him as to it (though that might just be because they don't want a pistol in the face). Currently he is unattached; he does not mind the sea but prefers the land, so bides his time there while waiting for orders. He is obscenely dedicated to his job; since his mother died he has kept completely to himself.

Appearance: A muscled young woman of about 4'8, she is dark from head to toe. Her skin is deeply tanned with the sun and her own natural color of the islands. Her hair is a deep black curly mop, cropped as short as her ears. Her exotic almond shaped green eyes possess a fire like that of the sun itself. Her hands are tough, calloused and accustomed to work. She typically wears a simple outfit consisting of a halter top and small tattered skirt that look like leather. Leather foot wraps instead of actual shoes finish this off.
Bio: Ka'alas grew up on the island of Sabyil and is trained in the ritual fighting style of the Island. In stark contrast to most other cultures, the culture on this island is matrichral . The women are all trained and proficient warriors. They also believe that the body is the best weapon. They are a rather stand-offish culture, separate from the rest of the island. She was the tribal Shaman woman, and she is currently on a vision quest. Her quest was rather forced, because her tribal family was dishonored. Her mother was also the Tribal shaman and she took a male lover, obviously the result was Ka alas. She follows with the pirates to help learn more about herself and the world around her tribe, so that one day she can return a wise woman and help lead her people. Having not learned much Fallionish, the rest of the crew sometimes has trouble with understanding her. Also, the rest of the crew finds her a bit...odd, as she is a practioner of a voodoo like magic.

Appearance: A young and fit man, only slightly muscular. He wears a pair of pinche-nez glasses over his green eyes. He has short black hair and curly coils on the side of his head, common among his religion. He commonly wears a skullcap and a heavy, black longcoat. Underwhich he is dressed in very roughed and frayed gentlemen's clothing with a few belts to hold his weapons. A pair of soft leather shoes cover his feet.
Bio: Born the son of a wealthy banker in Fallion, Rigel was expected to be a gentleman and run the family business. He was trained in all of the gentlemanly arts, including marksmanship, fencing, and magic when he showed he had some skill in it. He would have accepted the role made out for him except for one thing. The woman he had loved with all his heart betrayed him and married a merchant to see the world.

Filled with sorrow Rigel robbed his father of a hefty sum and ran away to become a pirate. He hoped to find something the life of an outlaw to replace the void he felt. His skills made him not only a decent fighter but an excellent quartermaster. His shrewd manners were not only fair but they were profitable as well.

With his father's money he had a twin set of ivory handled, multi-barreled pistols made. They are of the finest quality and have yet to fail him. Multi-barreled pistols are the latest type of gun, but they tend to be extremely tricky if not cared for properly and though they offer multiple shots they are impossible to reload in combat.

Rigel furthers his teachings and those of others with an extensive collection of books he treasures almost above all else. Of course they also tend to weigh him down with useless information as well.

Appearance: An averaged aged Man. Forest green hair, darkish green eyes, styled like my avatar's. Two bangs flowing down, held up by a black Bandana, with an eye patch upon his right eye, along with these two reddish scars on his right cheek, they kind of look like Tiger Stripe and slightly tanned skinned. A flowing black Cape/Scarf, a tad ripped on the ends. A nicely white dress shirt, along with a black-sleeveless shirt on top. Work damaged gloves, along with gauntlet wrist guards, beneath his sleeves. Black shoes, and black pants, with armored padding upon the thigh sides.
Bio:Born in Djazair, was torn apart from his loving mother when the main port was being raided by pirates. They savagely bombarded the port, ships, and merchant stands there. Before his very eyes, the Captain of that pirate crew kicked him aside and slayed his mother right there, her blood staining his shirt. As they left, he dove into the murky depths, swimming at the ship as it slowly departed. Climbing aboard and taking the crew by surprised, he won the Captain's respect. Started as a Cabin Boy and grew up the ranks, training his skills as well. Also learning the language in Fallion. Also he has a medium build, not too fat nor too skinny, also not that muscular, just even.

He spent hours and hours training with Dual Mastery. Either it would be Dual Cutlasses, Katanas, Claws, Daggers, Twin Axe and maybe even Pistols. Seeing how he improved, tonight was the night. He slowly walked towards the Captain Quarters, slicing down the door. He viciously slew the Captain for Revenge and a bit of the crew. He stepped upon the small paddle boat, and sailed off, watching the ship explode and it slwoly sinking. He swore he would become a pirate Captain one day, and it's been 4 years since that day. He's just been living his life sailing around with a couple of pirate ship, yet he just hasn't found any decent men for a crew. Through those 4 years he's practiced and studied Medicine, before that he didn't even know how to fix up a papercut. Quite a gentlemen from rumors of the ladies, often practicing fine arts such as Literature and Music. So he's gained the title of "Twin Blade Serenade" but he's trying to gain the Title of "Pirate Lord".

Appearance: Akroma has cropped grey/silver hair, and piercing blue eyes. her skin is darkly tan, contrasting heavily with her odd hair color. She wears only light weight clothing in order to allow for swift movement in battle, and a pair of fingerless leather gloves in order to keep a tight grip on her signature weapons, a long and short axe (see Bio), and a pair of Steel toed boots for balance. She has long refused to wear and sort of uniform, and seldom gets cold.
Bio: Kroma was actually born in Djazair, from which at a very young age she was sent far from home to Kilbrandeen. Her family believed she was too soft, often scorning the way of trade in Djazair even at age 4. She was most in tune with nature. At age 7 she arrived at Kilbrandeen for extensive Military training.

However she hated the female option and often envied the males for their privileges and extra training. Akroma undertook the name Jordyn Kardis and began to study with the boys, blending in by cropping her hair short and barely speaking.

At age 13, changes began happening to Akroma’s body and she was finding it more and more difficult to hide her gender. She lasted two more years before she was found out by a boy who shared a room with her. Regardless of her insincerity, she was instead honored as extremely dedicated and was allowed to continue her final year of study with the same program she had snuck into.

At age 16 she had completed all the military training offered. Though she was very learned in the things of the military, she had not been schooled in the newer technology of firearms. She had finished her training before such advancements. Guns and Riflery did not hold any importance to her. Her signature weapon was always one short and one long Axe, her mastery of these dual weapons well renouned.

Akroma still kept her fondness for nature and was very much in tune with it. Her ability to control Earth matter was a skill that had come to her naturally as a child, and stayed with her through schooling. It was said she had made her way back to Djazair for some solitude. Often she had set up a study in solitary during her few years still on land with a book of spells and exercises for manipulation of nature. At age 19 she re-surfaced in the eye of the government. Rumors having been floating around for quite some time as to what had happened to her, she was met with a mix of questions and stares. After another few months in the public eye, spending some time teaching in Kilbrandeen she was recommended by her original school to The Gilded Vanguard, and was stationed as First Mate on the Eternal Vigilance.

Appearance: A rather striking figure, The Black Rose generally wears a moderately skintight, black captain's uniform. Voluptuously built, she uses her powers over stupid males to her advantage, especially with keeping her crew in line. She has a rather nasty scar over right eye, as well as a long one running down the side of her left leg.
Bio: As the only child born into a pirating family, she inherited her father's nickname, and she only got a small education before her father took her under his wing, and taught her all that he knew about being a pirate. Not spoiled in the least, she worked on her father's ship since childhood, starting at the bottom just like everyone else. Her father did not want to treat her any better than any of the others, and treated her somewhat worse, trying to make her into a successful heir. She often gets into scrapes, and tends to leave most of them relatively unscathed. There were only 2 exceptions, one with her father and the other with her father's killer. She has a rather hot temper, but can be very diplomatic when weaseling poor suckers out of their goods, as well as getting out of scrapes.

Appearance: Of average build, Gitika has a distinct, dark complexion. Most of the heavy color is from hours in the sun but certainly her natural color is shades darker than most women's. Generally of neat appearance, Gitika's kept her hair pointedly long, the dark brown plait she keeps it in easily reaching to her lower back. When not plying the amount of hair into some ridiculous style, (ie. When not on land) she keeps it folded up to a decent length and well out of the way in case it should come to harm during commissions. Beyond the skin tone and copius amounts of hair, however, the young woman is rather nondescript with plain features. Not beautiful and barely pretty, she's almost suspiciously plain with her too-prominent nose, large forehead, and small lips.

Generally, seeing as Gitika isn't technically one of the sailor -- more of a common convienance -- she wears ridiculous uniforms she's aqquired from various places: large bulky clothing that makes it nearly impossible to scuttle up rigging and whatnot. She wears elaborate ebroidered jackets, colors ranging from dark red to blue, anything after a common piratical styled heavycoats to old naval and marines uniforms she's somehow "aqquirred" over the years. Both are rather convienant when in need of "amusing the enemy." If she's not in ridiculously elaborate clothing, Gitika wears simple trousers and shirt with plain blacks or mahogany boots.

At all times, however, she wears a belt bearing two pistols. Granted, her favorite weapons of choice are guns: anything from rifles to cannons, though she does carry a short sword for a backup.
Bio: Raised on Tshirre until the age of 17, Gitika lived with her grandparents until they passed. In the time they were around, however, she helped the two work in their shop, predominantly aiding her grandmother with the book keeping and her grandfather with the pricing of various goods. Through that, Gitika aqquired a fairly good sense of price and mathematics. When her two grandparents died suddenly of cholera, Gitika commissioned for a ship. Until the age of 22, she worked on the infamous ships of the Crowns of Port, a nice little trading ships that ferried various good up and down the channel. At the point that the ship was plundered, however, she quickly resigned from the service. At that point, she commissioned transportation on a ship of the Gilded Vanguard. Due to heavy weather, she was on the sip for the better part of a year before docking at her destination. At the age of 24, she boarded her first pirate ship other than as a hostage with the job of illegal trader and a fair knowledge of both the trade routes and specific runs of various naval ships.

And upon his fists are a pair of spiked knuckles, which have earned him the name of "Steelfist" from his enemies.
Bio: Born into a military family he was thrust into an academy at an early age where he excelled at the arts of unarmed combat, quickly becoming the best in his class and even besting the teacher he was acknowledged as one of the best to have walked. He wasn't the brightest of all students, find math and science hard, yet he kept focused. In the last few years of his training a trainer came to the school seeking fresh meat for a place called "Knights Hill". During the application test the judges were amazed at his strength and stamina.

A few weeks later he stood on the threshold of this new place, the faint sounds of military drills coming from the inside. Many years flew by as he perfected his arts, the teachers amazed at how fast one student could be taught, his skills in sailing and healing some of the best they had ever seen.

Then there was no more they could teach him.

He was let go from the school with nothing more than his training and told to travel towards the Vanguard, there he would find his true calling.

Once he had arrived there he was greeted by two of his former masters, evidentially they were high ranking officers in this particular area and offered him a high ranking position in exchange for his commitment to the guild.

She also wears a thin, dark blue scark throughout all of the seasons and only takes it off when it's extremely hot. She has a long, thick stash tied around her waist and has blue-greyish eyes. She travels around with only a sachel, a bottle of water and a her beloved dagger. Her passtime hobbies are sleeping, reading, traveling and getting along with animals. She also likes communicating with birds (although she's not a master at it) and has a soft spot for dogs and puppies.
Bio: She ran away from her home in Apolytrat because of her rebellious reasons and crave for adventure. Although she loved her family very much and cared for her brothers, she felt as if the sea was calling to her and the winds were pushing her to go out and explore. Being in a family full of younger and older males AND having her mother die while giving birth to her younger brother when she was only 11, she had required quite a tomboyish personality and the need to be stronger -- and also to be "one of the boys" (hence the short haair~~). Having her father and older brother worry about her and her little brother missing her, the two eldest leave their homes to go in search for her. Finding this information out from birds, Tadako decides that she needs to be in the sea at all times to make it harder for her brothers to find her -- she's having fun, so doesn't want to go back.

He wields a large two handed sword that is holstered on to his back and a flint-lock pistol strapped to his left thigh for skirmishes before boarding battles.
Bio: As a child Sorian was orphaned at a young age, he grew up only relying on his wit and himself. Stealing food and money could only go so far so he decided he needed a way to earn passage off the endless grasslands he called a home. For 5 years he devoted himself to physical exercise and living by being a mercenary hired by the chief of the many villages across Djazair to assault or pillage from other villages that they were at war with. Soon he earned the name "Cleave" because of the giant sword on his back said to level a man in half. Sorian was disgusted with the reputation he had earned because of the fact that he never killed anyone less he was defending himself. He decided to leave Djazair by ship which is how he came upon The Cecil. He asked the captain to take him aboard, but the captian said he could only come aboard until he defeated the Master at Arms. As the fight began Sorian swung his blade around like a short sword and severed the man's cutlass in half, then he charged forward and pelted him with the hilt of the blade, knocking him out. The captain was amazed and allowed him to board as the new Master at Arms. But now his new journey begins....

Appearance: Kyra has spent most of her life under the sun and by the sea, and her hair, bleached almost colorless by the light, is a testament to that. To keep the wispy locks out of her face, she usually wears a black bandana around her forehead. Though she has the fine features from her Fallion ancestry, her looks are rather feral, complimented by red facial tattoos, layers of crude jewelry and a deep tan. The only “civilized” adornments she wears are her boots, pants, and an opal pendant set in gold. Her allegiance to the Fell Ravens is marked by a tattoo of the fleet’s flag design on her right shoulder.
Bio: Valerie St. Clair was born in Apolytrat, though her mother had been from one of Fallion’s noble families. She was the result of a political alliance created when her mother was married to one of the representatives in Apolytrat’s highly advanced government system. She grew up naturally learning Apolytrace from the people around her, but her mother insisted that she be taught the language of her own country as well. Valerie led a privileged life, though, due to Aploytrat’s strong economy, that wasn’t uncommon.

When she turned 18, the age of adulthood, her family decided that she would move back to Fallion to claim her inheritance, the St. Clair estate, which had been left masterless since her grandfather, the Duke of St. Clair, had died several months prior. Valerie was reluctant to go, as she loved Apolytrat and considered it her home country, her parents were insistent. She boarded the ship to take her to St. Clair, doubting that she’d ever see the mountains of Apolytrat again.

The ship never reached its intended destination.

Though a few passengers and sailors were recovered from the wreckage of the ship, Valerie was not among them, and she was presumed dead. Her loss was mourned for about a week before her younger sister Rebecca was granted the estate intended for her. It didn’t really matter who was given the title, so long as there was some figurehead.

Valerie wasn’t truly dead, though. At the first sign of the ship’s inevitable destruction, the first mate had put her on one of the lifeboats and cast her out onto the stormy sea. Though she had no experience in controlling such a boat, sheer terror kept her clinging to the sides as the waves tossed her randomly about. The next morning brought her in view of land, and, eager to feel stability beneath her feet, Valerie managed to paddle her boat to the shore. Her joy was short-lived however, as she discovered the island’s inhabitants to be an “uncivilized tribe of savages” whose language resembled nothing she had ever heard spoken. Luckily for Valerie, the people took pity on the frightened, soaking wet girl in strange clothing, and brought her into their folds.

Three years later, Valerie, or Kyra as she was named, had settled in with the Narali people quite well. She spoke their language with near fluency, and held the same status in the tribe as her peers. Indeed, there was talk of her marriage to one of the tribe’s most well regarded young hunters. All of this changed when the shadow of the Fell Ravens was cast upon the island.

Kyra had not forgotten her roots, but it was with some surprise that the Narali chief summoned her one day, requesting that she act as an interpreter between himself and the first outsiders to visit the island since her own arrival. Soon, she found herself in the middle of a heated negotiation between the chief, and Phaye Brodigan, leader of the Fell Ravens. Something about the young commodore captivated Kyra – she was brash, bold, witty, and charismatic, in ways the former heiress had never seen before in a woman.

When the negotiations and bartering had been completed, Kyra felt saddened as she watched the pirate commodore direct her crew in loading supplies, knowing she would never see anyone like her again, once the Ravens had set sail. But, just as the last crate was packed, and everyone began to board, Phaye looked back and for a moment…just one moment…met Kyra’s eyes with a grin. Then, as she began to walk up the plank, she made the smallest beckoning motion over her shoulder. With some hesitation, Kyra got to her feet and followed the woman onto the ship. She has never looked back since.

Appearance: Mitsuri has an exotic sort of beauty, and she’s quite aware of it. Though traditionally, women from Hokgane wear their hair long and tied back, hers, a bright orange in color, is by contrast short and layered around her face. Her eyes are a calm grey color, though they usually burn with an inner fire of determination or anger when she’s feeling particularly emotional (which is most of the time). A long scar runs down the side of her right cheek, from a duel a few years back.

When she wants people to know she’s of the Vanguard, she wears a white button down shirt, purposely unbuttoned at the top to show off a little cleavage, and over this the blue Vanguard jacket. Her skirt is a little too short to be practical, as are her stockings and knee high boots, but most of the males (and some females) that she encounters aren’t complaining. To top it off is a matching blue cap with the Gilded Counsel, giving her the authoritative look of a woman who gets what she wants.

When she’s working undercover, Mitsuri wears whatever will help her achieve her current goal. But one can expect that skin will be showing regardless. And regardless of what she’s dressed for, Mitsuri always wears a delicate silver locket and several rings, all of which contain various types of poisons.
Bio: Mitsuri was born on the tropical island of Hokgane, a respected nation, but not highly influential in the Region due to their unusual customs. The Uehara family traditionally raised their girls to be the Emperor’s female bodyguards and concubines. Essentially, this was the role of an assassin, when the lord wanted a potential enemy to disappear, but could not publicly execute him or her. It is considered a great honor to be offered a night with one of the Emperor’s concubines…but many who eagerly accept it are never heard from again.

Mitsuri, however, was getting tired of being thought of as only a political and personal tool, and thus when she was 20, she paid a merchant to transport her to the capital city of Fallion, where she enrolled in a ladies’ academy to learn the proper etiquette of the North. However, the life of a lady-in-waiting didn’t appeal much to her either, so she next entered the Gilded Vanguard Academy, and spent 5 years trying to prove that her skills of sneakery and seduction would be just as valuable as any strapping youth who could point a gun the right way. It was a difficult battle (and involved a few more under the table or against the wall deals) but she eventually got her place as the Intelligence Inspector under Commodore Mordarke.

But she doesn’t spend too much time aboard the ship. Most often she will be sailed to the location of an assignment, be dropped off, and picked up again when she has gathered the proper information. Which she’s fine with. The sea’s overrated, anyways.

Appearance: A ragged man, sporting a beard not good enough to be considered thick, yet not thin enough to be considered stubble. Rae wears the typical three-cornered hat proudly, with a badly-sown hawk patched on the front, which he claims is the symbol of his once-noble house. He sports dark brown hair, and hazel eyes. His wardrobe generally consists of white shirts (although they're far less than white now) and a navy-blue vest, and black pants with the usual white (or brown-stained) breeches. He wears an old pair of leather boots, which are black as well.
Bio: Rae was brought up as a gunner and occasional doctor on a ship for the Crowns of the Port. They trained him in trade and mathematics, and he became a rather useful accountant and scribe, for which he was paid a rather low salary. For years, he fought against the Fell Ravens and their counterparts, until one day, he earned his nickname among the Crowns. Rae, who had grown tired of sailing with the boring traders, fired off the only two cannons they had -- into the hull of the ship.

Before leaving, of course, he filled his pockets with gold and spices, and set up a rowboat to leave. He was not, however, the only survivor, and the Gilded Vanguard quickly laid a large price on his head.

He quickly gave up the life of the merchants and dove into the open arms of the Fell Ravens -- men who he protected his ship from not so long ago. Joining an unchristened ship, Rae crossed paths with an aspiring Djazairic captain by the name of Forte Ichiro. Due to his limited knowledge in the language (he picked up a bit from trading), he could communicate with the captain in both of their native tongues.

On a completely unrelated note, Rae's other title was earned because of his rather bold and showy escapes from the Vanguard. A rather well-known attempt was when he hung a naked guard, whose clothes he had stolen, from Rae's jail cell. Laughably enough, the guard was never discovered until Rae had sailed off the island where he was held, with a small dingy and a case of oranges (to prevent scurvy, of course.)

Rae's family lives in a large mansion in Fallion, despising him for his actions. They disowned him upon hearing the news of his betrayal of the Crowns. He secretly hunts the title of Rae the Legend, and, is willing to rape, pillage, and burn as many things as he must to obtain it.

Appearance: Aureylan is a tall man with long limbs. His muscles are of moderate size but are chiseled and defined. His skin is moderately tanned. His hair is black, neck-length, and he kept parted rather severely. The ends of it fall to the sides of his head and his neck in spiked bunches. He trims the center of his forehead free of bangs but keeps two slim fang-shaped bunches of hair hanging down to fall in front of his ears and frame his face. His eyes are pale blue and piercing, his nose straight. He is seldom seen without the knee-length vest of his uniform, which is emblazoned with the Gilded Vanguard’s insignia. When off-duty he also wears loose clothing in few bright colors, tending to stick with browns and neutrals.
Bio: The eldest of the legendary Lux Voserati merchant family’s most recent generation, Aureylan grew up among scholars and peers in Fallion’s finest schools. Taught the importance of worldly skills by his parents, he strived to become very well-educated. From a very young age Aureylan was surrounded by many existentially questioning children, most of whom would seize any opportunity to relate anecdotes about their visits with the philosophers of Apolytrat. The question Aureylan’s peers were most interested in was simple and yet astronomically difficult- What is the purpose of a human’s existence? Aureylan, always aggressive and affirmative, had decided shortly that since no reason was apparent to him, he was to find something meaningful to spend his life doing. And so he was elated when, at the age of 10, he met a young teacher at his school who was a young ex-member of the Gilded Vanguard who tragically had to retire from his position after being crippled in a battle. Aureylan learned from him all that was fit for the general public to know about the Vanguard and Council. The retiree told him that his years serving the Vanguard were the greatest of his life, and revealed that the battle which crippled him may well have shaved a few decades off his existence. It was not long after this that Aureylan left school to study at a university controlled by members of the Vanguard, determined to become a member of the organization. At the Vanguard university he took an interest in medicine and studied it thoroughly. He completed his academic work with flying colors and was signed on to a ship- he had greatly impressed his teachers and became the youngest First Mate to ever serve the Vanguard. After his service on that ship ended, he was honored with the position of Quartermaster on another ship. Realizing that he could well move another step straight up on the Hierarchy, he continued his service and was soon enough appointed Captain of the Eternal Vigilance at the age of 23. Determined to spend his life keeping order and striking on behalf of justice, he continues his patrols at age 24 just as he had the first day he became Captain.

Appearance: The Immaculate Priest. Gideon wears a black cassock with the emblem of the priesthood, and while he rarely takes it off it's worth mentioning his black wool trousers and white collarless cotton shirt underneath. He also has black boots, in the heels of which are hammered silver nails in a cross pattern, to ward off the devil. Add on some white gloves, in which are held always a cross and a bible, and we're ready to describe physical features. He's a square-rigged sort of gentleman, possessed of the sort of blocky good looks that are so common amongst the priesthood. His face is square with a narrow beard and neatly combed brown hair (think Goodguy). He needs glasses to read, and keeps them in the pocket of his cassock.
Bio: Gideon was born to a bookkeeper and an actress in a Fallion slum, although they quickly moved to Apolytrat for the sake of their son. At the age of four, he showed an interest in religion and the priesthood, and studied hard for many years in an attempt to reach this goal. Sure enough, he recieved his priest's collar at the age of 17. He learned magic through religion for some seven years, until he moved to Fallion, considering it to be a land sorely in need of curates. There, he was brought into the Golden Vanguard to bless their ships and, with the grace of God, act as quartermaster. Run by honor and law as they are, Gideon had little arbitration to do onboard the series of vessels he crewed, and learned much of the navigator's art.

He remained with the Vanguard for six years. Six years of observation and learning, six years of watching the poorest level of society suffer under King Ashram, six years of seeing gilt Vanguard vessels open fire on unguarded savage villages, six years of slow festering and growing resentment towards the Empire. He stole a cockboat and fled toward the rumoured headquarters of the Fell Ravens, secure in the knowledge that pirates often brought goods to the poor folk that they couldn't find or afford otherwise.

After becoming a Raven, Gideon found his work onboard to be very similar to that he'd had with the Vanguard, although with more use for what he'd learned of medicine in his study as a youth. His crewmates taught him simple unarmed combat in exchange for just decisions and fine medical work. He also found that his head had a bounty on it on a particular shore leave, a fact which his friends and crewmates found to be of infinite regard. When he heard of the new vessel, the [Ship #1] being commissioned, he hurried to join. The ship that would be on the front lines of pirate activity in only three weeks? He couldn't help but join.
