God, Westley has some of the greatest lines in this movie. The ones featured here aren’t necessarily in any sort of order.
“It’s not so bad…” [Buttercup glares at Westley] “…well I’m not suggesting we build a summer home here, but the trees are actually quite lovely”.
Humperdink: Surrender!
Westley: You mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well, I accept.
“Ah, but we know the secrets of the fire swamp and could live there happily for quite some time. So any time you feel like dying, feel free to visit.”
“We are men of action. Lies do not become us.”
[as Buttercup prepares to put a dagger through her heart] “There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to ruin yours.”
Then, of course, there’s the “to the pain” speech but I’m too lazy to type it out now. Maybe I’ll put it up later.
