--->Camelot Paintball has two speedball fields and a large woodsball field. We rent gear for partys. See Party Info.
--->Q: Does it hurt when you get hit with a paintball?
A: A little. To be more specific, come and see. When you get hit in the mask or the marker, it doesn't hurt at all. Some hits in certain areas, hurt more than others, while some times you might not notice it. In closing, find out for yourself how much fun it is to play paintball. Getting hit happens, just play!
--->Q: How much does it cost to play?
A: It will vary on the player, but self equipped members will spend about $40 - $50 on a day of play on weekend (shooting about a case (2000 paintballs). Weekday play is normally less. If you need to rent equipment the cost will be slightly higher, if you shoot less paintballs, the cost will be less respectively.
--->Q: Can I bring my own paint to the field?
A: Yes. Our field is B.Y.O.P. (Bring your own paint) during all weeknights & weekends, except for Special Events (example: Tournaments, Scenarios). We have paint available on site for as low as $40 per case (2000 paintballs). Paintballs are also available in other quantities as well.
--->Q: What should I wear? A: You need to be comfortable but, cover your skin and wear good shoes. It's all natural terrain in the woods so boots or hiking shoes are recommended. The speedball fields are flat and grassy. Any good athletic shoe will be fine. The paint does not usually stain. We suggest not wearing your favorite shirt and washing everything right when you get home. We have cold bottled water, soda and Gatorade. There are netted spectator areas. We do not care about the weather. It's fun to play in the rain or snow!
--->Q: If I want to buy my own equipment, how much will it cost?
A: Like all sports, it depends on how much you have to invest.
First thing we recommend, rent equipment for at least a few times, to find out if you really like it enough to invest further in equipment. Nothing hurts the wallet more than doing it a few times, then having to sell it for pennies because you get out of it.
Second, you will need to decide on what you want to get, as far as quality vs price, as well as what type of game play you enjoy.
Example: If you enjoy paintball in the woods, and want something
reliable for a beginner, you may want a tippman marker, ect.
If you enjoy speedball, you may want to get a
smaller/lighter marker (possibly electronic).
In every case, remember to budget for your other equipment: Maintenance items, Goggles (get a good set), pack, squeege, gloves, pants, paint (of course), tank (Compressed air if you can), and so forth.
Ask any of our refs or staff about anything. We have many experienced players in all aspects of the sport. Thanks again.
There are CO2 and N2 fills available at the field, up to 4500 psi.
