Metal sheet: Called an ink slab, used as the printing surface.

Plastic sheet

Ink rollers: to apply ink to the ink slab surface, and also can be used as a mark making tool.

Printing ink: Oil based inks, wide range of colours, transparent mediums can be added to the ink to allow control of colour transparency. Inks should be in good condition for any hard pieces or foreign bodies which become mixed into the ink will be detrimental to the prints (unless that's the effect you were after :).

Palette knives: For mixing inks.

Drawing tools: Pencils, ball-point pens, brushes, comb, screwdriver, any solid object etc.

Turpentine: For thinning down inks, and cleaning ink slab and equipment.

Cloth/Rag: Used for drawing into the ink and dampened with turps for rubbing the back of printing paper.

Printing paper: Ideal paper for printing should be strong - thin, yet pliable. Eg...Japanese papers, rice paper...etc

A sheet of card: Acting as a registration base when colour printing.

A weight or Tape: Any weighty object, metal block, old ink tin or masking tape etc...to hold printing paper firm and secure during the printing process.
