Monoprint/Monotype
is considered to be a halfway stage between printmaking and painting.
'Monoprint' refers to the producing of a single unique print. All
that is basically involved is the painting/drawing of an image,
with printing ink rolled onto a clean sheet of glass or a metal
plate...A sheet of paper is then laid on the wet image and pressure
applied carefully. On peeling back the paper, the image will be
found transferred from the glass to the paper.
