The Falling Snow

As the snow falls, it lives to make us glad.

It closes our schools, which makes us happy more than sad.

It falls to the ground and it forms together to make

A man out of snow, even though the man is fake.

It sweeps across the nation, blowing to and fro.

It takes its icy hands, and brings cold to the people below.

It tickles little children, and makes teens shout for joy.

It makes adults moan because they have to blow the snow with a toy.

It lets children play with it, and form it to whatever they like.

It ages the parents more, and makes them wish to again be a tyke.

It packs down for good sled riding, and makes the day more fun.

It gives so much pleasure to people, as long as there is no sun.

It drifts up to the house and creates for the children a game.

They use it to make snowballs and hit people if they have good aim.

It creates so much fun, but creates destruction, too.

It lets cars crash and people get hurt, and it even gives out the flu.

But its end comes along, as the sun comes back out.

It runs and flows away for another day, and makes the children pout.

Now it makes the teens groan, because it is off to school the go,

And they look forward to the next winter, and the day of the falling snow.
