Also, ask about the Hyperdimensional Digital Disaster Area-- it is a huge set of sonic raw material comprising about 3500 nameless, sequentially-numbered wave files on 10 cd-ROMs. The VFW hard drive lost its file allocation table [FAT] and all of our raw wave files (and complete or mostly-complete songs, too) were cast into digital oblivion forever. Or so we thought. A data recovery program which shall remain nameless, was able to retrieve thousands of files by performing a raw beginning-to-end scan on the 1's and 0's still encoded on the drive. Defrag had not been run on the drive in some time, so the files it picked up are randomly interspersed with other wave files, bursts of digital noise from imbedded text and other file types. Some longer songs contain whole pristine loops from other projects neatly dropped in, among speaker-breaking bursts of noiseData. email geocide@attglobal*net for more information!
