" The problem is
really only solvable by relying on the community to police
itself,
because it is a fundamentally unwinnable technical battle
to make a completely cheat proof game of this type.
Play with your friends. "
- John Carmack
Project SafeHouse is what we call the
ongoing effort on the part of Project
Foundation Staff to meet it's gaming objectives.
The Safehouse project was set up by the Foundation at a time
when Counter Strike was suffering from a massive plague of
cheats and immaturity (well, that's still around). In order to
combat the "plague", Project SafeHouse first took a
more humanistic approach towards anti-cheating and maturity by
setting up a structure to certify players that appeared to be
'clean' (non-hacking) and presented themselves with decent
manners.
Orignally, players that the Founders played with and against
which met Invitational SafeHouse Requirements were
referred/invited to apply to become a Registered Regular under
project SafeHouse. In turn, those members were then granted the
trust of being able to refer/invite players to apply for
SafeHouse access once they deemed a player to meet requirements.
Thus by keeping to this cycle, we play with people we know
and trust and our House is kept Safe.
Furthermore not only do we use the trained eye to catch
cheaters we also run the most proven anti-cheat software
available on our servers and not only update it as soon as an
update is released, but do our best to know how the anti-cheat
software works and possibly modify it (with permission, of
course) to catch even more cheaters in the act ( just check out
how many we have banned ).

1.Vision

Aside from creating a safe and fun gaming experiencing, project
SafeHouse is also about building a responsible gaming community.
By Registering yourself as an official Regular you're
affiliating yourself with like-minded individuals that
understand and agree to a particular gaming guideline (our
Rules). Project SafeHouse is all about supplying a gathering
point for decent people to play on supported servers, something
which no anti-cheat program can instill (even though we still
run them). As previously mentioned in the introduction, Regulars
are directly responsible in influencing the atmosphere created
on the Regulars server and thus the FNF community. With your
help by actively screening (and inviting) suitable players that
fit the FNF mold, we help ensure that, we, the server members,
have some choice with whom we share the Regulars server and thus
shape our gaming experience and community!
2. Project SafeHouse

Aside from the inspirational background and vision that the
members of Project SafeHouse constantly work towards realizing
(it takes effort weeding out cheaters and poor behaviour),
Project SafeHouse itself functions within a firm structure.
Project Safehouse is made of 2 essential parts which function
together to make the SafeHouse happen: Membership and Servers.
Membership:
By Registering for Regulars status we keep track of who we trust
with access.
Servers:
Operating servers with the proper software (anti-cheat and
anti-killing/wounding prgrams/scripts) is critical in maintaing
Project SafeHouse's mission. All server management is looked
after by appointed Project SafeHouse staff.
Furthermore, Project SafeHouse runs independantly of clan FNF,
whereas the FNF clan depends upon drawing clan members from the
Regulars listings.
3. Supported Games

The current game that Project SafeHouse supports is
Counter-Strike. Other games may become supported at anytime if
enough member interest is shown. Once enough members show
interest in a game, the Project SafeHouse Staff will bring it to
the attention of the Project Foundation Staff and a council will
be held regarding the new game in question.
4. Regulars Status
Attaining membership is only possible by receiving a
registration invitation to apply (a referral by a current member
as previously explained). Once Regulars status has been
achieved, you will be catagorized and be appropriated access.
Category
FNF has 2 member categories - Regular and Clan.
Note that even if you wish to become a clan member, you must
first become a registered Regular. Access is completely
independant of Category. Newly Registered Regulars are
automatically categorized as a Regular.
Access:
Access is defined as remote console command level access to the
game server via whatever remote console programming currently
being used (such as Admin Mod).
5 FNF defined access levels exist: Basic,
Intermediate, Advanced, RCON, and Full.
It is possible to be a Regular with Intermediate access, but
Regulars will not be able to gain access past that point without
becoming a Clan member. Regulars with intermediate access are
usually dubbed as "Watchers" since they've agreed to
help the Project SafeHouse staff police and promote the servers.
Watchers are accountable to the SafeHouse Co-oridinator.
So what does Regular's status grant you?
Benefits:
Successful applicants that are granted registered Regulars
status will receive these features...
