Elizebeth's Tortillas

2 cups of flour

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup shortening(can use conola oil as substatute)

1/4 tsp backing powder

1/2 cup warm water. Mabe a little more.

mix all this up and add the water slowly till in a large gooey ball. Roll into small balls. Use a rolling pen on a counter top or pastery sheat. Sprinckle flour under the tortilla to keep from sticking. Put all on the a plate with a sprinckling of slour between them, or put right to the griddle. Cook on a griddle like a pancake or creape. When it is cooked all the way through put on a plate with a towel covering it.
