listening to: pavement - 'spit on a stranger'

for the past two nights, i haven't had time to blow-dry my hair. so i go to bed with it invariably wet, and i wake up with these horrible waves that look all inconsistent and crappy. basically like i rolled out of bed, no matter how much i brush it. eaugh.

there was some kind of pep rally thing today for everything but football. it sounded weird and i had more important things to do so i didn't go. supposedly some kid ran around in a speedo or something. ::shrugs:: yeah, so i finished my english project. and in english i turned in that project. and then we took a scarlet letter test. it was fun. minus the fun part. yum.

in ASL i did my algebra II review, sort of. in algebra II i was depressed because i'm making a not too good grade in there (low C. ::cringes::). after school i went to find out my physics test grade, which was an 80, so i was happy because that brings me up to a high-ish C. ::cringes again:: what is it with these C's?! i've never gotten a C before. and then i get bombarded with two. well, those are the subjects that matter the least to me.

then i went to practice. it was fun. i ran around and found a pageboy hat and wore it all night. those hats rock. and i wore sean's hat, because his hat rocks. and i sat on the tricycle and lounged around in the dressing room for awhile listening to random stuff, and i got a necklace made out of a coathanger. the end.

now i'm home and i'm going over my senior directed scene lines. i'm british, so i'm working on my commanding british woman voice. Mercy Croft, director of the BBC, who despises and chastises June "Sister George" Buckridge (Leslie). what a stretch that is! i'm also supposedly having an affair with June's "housemate", Alice. hubba hubba. ::twitches::

yay mavericks, it's 81 to 56 in the 3rd quarter of the game! ::gloats:: we had Luigi's for dinner. yum. uh..yup..well that's about it. i'm gonna go do something now.

listening to: david bowie - 'all the young dudes' / 'major tom'

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID BOWIE.

The big 56. You still got it, man. Mmm that vest, is killer. He's up for a grammy, and oh my...Avril Lavigne MIS-PRONOUNCED HIS NAME. she mispronounced the holy name of bowie. while reading nominations for the category he's in, she said "DAVID BOW-IE", like bow as in, bow-wow, take a bow, bow down to your leader, etc. HOW DENSE CAN YOU BE. WHAT KIND OF SON OF A BITCH IN THE (#@%(#@% MUSIC BUSINESS WOULD MISPRONOUNCE HIS NAME!?! holy crap. i used to be indifferent toward her but now i want to kill her. she's an idiot. she should have stayed in school. she really needed that education. let's kill her.

today was somewhat hopeless. note to self, Tempered Steel is most excellent. we played it in band. i may ask mcgill if i can play with an oboe, just to see if i can play it. oboe's are gorgeous little instruments when played correctly. ground control to major tom...

english was a blowoff...ASL was alright, i got a 19 out of 20 on my signed presentation thing that I mostly improvised. Algebra was horrendous. we had a conics test, and it was a whore. i wanted to die after taking that thing. my head still aches.

i got my PSAT scores back. they blow. at first, i thought i'd made a 1020, and nearly stabbed myself, but then i learned to ADD correctly and realized it was an 1120. still shitty, but hey, it's getting back to the way it used to be. i took this huge nosedive freshman and sophomore year in PSAT scores. i need to just take the real thing. i think i should just impress colleges with my Beatles prowess and glossary of useless Beatles trivia. and my Quenya (elvish), once it gets good enough. yes, yes, i will learn.

oklahoma was entertaining. and tonight we're having salmon and cheese rolls for dinner. rapture!

listening to: doves - 'there goes the fear again' / travis - 'beautiful'

history notes, what a drag. i'm breaking the monotony by taking quizzes. i was particularly pleased with this result:
http://gaz.nu/radiohead/jonny.html

quite geeky: hmm, that jonny guy does have a nice butt
quite geeky: and nice hair
Shlenkie: .....

hehehe. 'tis true, see for yourself. nice butt.

well, tomorrow the only mentally taxing classes that i'll be in are history and physics, in which physics i take minimal notes and nap. it feels like a college class. we don't have a test until thursday anyway. ::shrugs::

i really dig this bluegrass band, "nickel creek". it's 'young' bluegrass, kinda infused with other genres. very very good stuff. if you DL, i highly recommend "spit on a stranger" (a cover of the lovely Pavement song) and "this side" (great guitar/mandolin lick.)

we had a big warning war last night. a few of us (including me) got warned up to 100%. thankfully i am back on that screename once again and the warning level is down to 43%.

we played Mall Madness at Oklahoma practice. i have a renewed interest in that game...it really is fun. :D it brings out the preteen girl in me.

listening to: the stranglers - 'golden brown'

evenin'. i saw 'catch me if you can' tonight at AMC with jeremy. brilliant film! it made me laugh, a lot. what makes it even better is that it's a true story. i loved it a lot, really. i wouldn't be opposed to seeing it again, so if you don't have a companion to see it with, don't hesitate to ask me.

i'm downloading legolas winamp skins and legolas AIM icons. what a dork. :9 orlando, he's just such a beautiful man.

i'm also really enjoying the cd's josh has burned for me. led zeppelin, nickle creek, dixie chicks, dido. i'm really liking the zeppelin stuff, and the nickle creek. don't know how he discovered them but it's this really great bluegrass fused with other genres type of music. there's a mad mandolin player, too. wonderment.

oh, and i took a spill at the bottom of the stairs today in my house. :X my mom's been cleaning the bottom step and the floor around the stairs incessantly, and she got it so waxed and polished clean that it's extremely slippery. i was wearing socks, and carrying my acoustic guitar upstairs, when CRACK...my foot slips, fall forward, the acoustic bashes down on the bottom (wood) stair, my elbow bashes onto the guitar, and my face onto the wood floor. ow. i sort of laid there for a few minutes and made noises, because nobody was home and i couldn't move. lucky for me i didn't pass out or anything. i then examined my guitar--thankfully i didn't punch a hole through it or break strings, miracle of miracles. but there is some flaking and cracking all around the neck. dammit! but it still sounds good as ever and holds together well. it's such a resilient guitar, i really got my money's worth ($100) for it. inexpensive, yet sturdy. made me happy.

so that was my exciting day. my stomach hurts and i'm going to play addictinggames.com games. oh, and note to self, winamp3 SUCKS. don't download it. niteys ...
