Saturday, November 09, 2002 i forgot to mention, that the pep rally was kinda neat yesterday, and the football game was a riot. it was the seniors' last game, so i took the liberty of spitting chewed hot dog all over paul and squishing all the flute players on my row by scooting over very quickly, at any given moment. fun stuff. and the usual "dancing" and screaming like a banshee. (: we lost. one and nine!!! one and nine!!!!! hahahahaha. almost completely defeated this season .. ahhh. my "little sister" of the flute section gave me one of those dancing hamster thingummies, for my gift. :D i LOVE those things. it sings "we are the champions" and moves in its animatronic ways. how adorable. everything's up to date in Kansas City ... posted by Rach | 8:11 PMok-la-hoooooooooooooooo-ma! yeeeeeeaaaaoooowwwwwww!!!!!!! dancing auditions were today. it was lots of fun, actually! we got up to the theatre at 10 AM and the Choreographer Lady, who's really nice, taught us this dance in about ... 2 minutes, seriously. so we picked it up, practiced it a bit, and then went up in groups of 4 or 5 and performed it for Mrs. H and Choreographer Lady. I did alright I suppose ... I'm an amateur, but boy is it fun. It was the dance from the song "Kansas City", when Will comes back from Kansas City. lol. so it's really an all-male dance, but oh well. callbacks are on monday. i don't really expect to make callbacks, but that's alright. afterward, lez and i went to taco bell, and then we went to see "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." i thought it was very good. very cute and funny. i have to go work now. great, huh? posted by Rach | 3:44 PMThursday, November 07, 2002 ever have those horrible stabbing pains in your back muscles? i think my posture has been out of whack lately because my back is killing me. maybe it's because i was hunched over a trash can during spotlight today, beating it with a mallet. lol, we're doing 'spank' (our rendition of 'stomp') at the senior pep rally tomorrow. i'm quite frankly glad i don't have to sit with the band, and spank is always fun to do, especially when i have a new part, because blake won't be there. so i'm the bass drummer. wa-hee. um, what else...i took a nap in physics today...then i went to the last practice of the season for band (thank God!), and then i had singing auditions tonight for Oklahoma!. i think i did alright, even though ms. h and ms. gorham were supposedly telling basically everyone they did a great job and that they should be in choir. that's pretty dumb if you ask me, but oh well. on monday, they post the cast list/callback list. Oklahoma! chorus, here i come. lol. darn. well i'm dead tired and i ought to get some sleep. pep rally in the morning, the last football game later on (band night, no doubt), and dancing auditions on Saturday morning at...10, i think? huah. by the end of saturday i'll be able to officially say that it has been a full week. ciao. posted by Rach | 10:45 PMWednesday, November 06, 2002 GlueisfromHorses: hey loser today was kind of ... well, todayish. i'll point out a few of the highlights and lowlights. kara and i were discussing our persuasive speech topics during english, and i told her that i'd probably do "the devastations of deforestation", and i proceeded to tell her that i am a treehugger. she said "really?" and i said "well sort of. i'm not a complete bleeding-heart liberal but i do care about the environment. here, let me show you." earlier in the class, daphne put some long scraps of paper on my desk, because apparently my desk is the equivalent to a trash can. so i used them to my advantage--i taped a strip of paper around my wrist, wrote "treehugger" on it real purdy like, and voila--a treehugger bracelet. miss kara pointed out that it's made out of paper, and i'm a complete oxymoron because i'm a treehugger with a paper bracelet that says treehugger. muahaha, it was funny. i like the bracelet, too ... in other news. i made a 51 on my algebra II test. wahee, pi-yow. man, that sucks muchly. the class average was a 63. master perrin is tooooo difficult. that's all i have to say about that. after school i went to the dentist. they stuffed me full of novicaine and put in a new filling. and they put in a new sealant. my teeth are so dumb. at least my face isn't numb anymore! although it is a cool feeling, for the first 20 minutes. then it's just annoying, especially when you can't taste the sonic malt you just bought. evan got yet another detention-like thingummy. he gets them for the stupidest reasons. this time, him and his friend (excuse the grammar) got caught filling a balloon with skittles and coke. ?!?!?! ::sniffle:: all i can say is...the boy makes me proud. if i got a detention, i know i would want it to be because i was putting skittles and coke in a balloon. ::cracks up:: i remember freshman year, at utley, when stine and lisa and i would put things in the toilets in the girl's bathroom by the cafeteria. brownies, bean dip, red fruitopia, relish, other assorted condiments, and of course there was the time when we went festive and put a marshmallow Peep in there. it floated real cute and purdy, but then the water got at it and it expanded like a bloated...duck. ::reminisces:: okay. so tomorrow for auditions i have to sing my song from annie get your gun ("you can't get a man with a gun"--downoad it if you get the chance, preferably the bernadette peters version--she's AMAZiNG.) i like that song; hopefully i'm doing it some sort of justice. other than that, i just watched the Barbara Walters interview with The Osbournes (jeez, i love them.) i also have note taking galore for history, and my hair is still in a towel turban. and i need a tad bit of sleep. so i'm off. ::scurries:: posted by Rach | 10:48 PMmidnight ... the witching hour .. or something .. (the hour in which i slowly turn mad.) i'd better get some sleep. niteys. (: tickle me emo 66: what the hell is a seabiscuit, anyways? Monday, November 04, 2002 somebody get online, i'm hankering to procrastinate and talk to someone! ::pretends not to see AP U.S. History book thrown in the corner:: oh look, dan IMed me. my telepathic skills are exceeding. (: alright. oklahoma! (i'm sorry, couldn't resist putting the exclamation mark there) readings are tomorrow after school. i'm auditioning for the role of Ado Annie, as i'm sure you already know. she's my favourite favourite favourite character and i'm completely in love with her, (well, you know what i'm talking about) but speaking realistically (and pessimistically), i probably won't get the part. when it all comes down to the sheer politics and whatnot. but i'm going to at least try my best and have fun with it and all that hoohah. i'll just be glad when all this auditioning madness is over. but man, i'd kill to be ado! she gets to kiss a lot! lol. since i'm on an oklahoma tangent, i'll post the lyrics to my other favorite song in the musical, "All 'Er Nothin'" (Will and Ado's song) just because it's so goldarn cute...go download it for the full effect. my favourite parts are "oh ado annie, come on and kiss me!" lol. ahhh...too cute .. anyway. All 'Er Nuthin' WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL (sung) With me it's all er nuthin'. ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL ANNIE WILL |
