OUEA Membership: $20
This membership is mandatory for anyone who would like to compete on the Ontario circuit, and will allow you to collect points during the season in order to qualify for finals. In order to join, you need to download the “Rider membership”. Please hand your completed membership form and team fee to the secretary or vice president.

Horse Shows
There are four divisions in the OUEA: Open riders compete over one course of fences at 2’9”, and then draw a second horse for their flat class. Intermediate riders compete in the same format at 2’6”, and Novice riders at 2’3”. The over fences classes for all divisions are run at the beginning of the day, and all of the flat classes are done later on. Following the flat classes for the Open, Intermediate, and Novice divisions comes the Beginner division, which consists of one walk/trot class and one walk/trot/canter class.
The division that you compete in depends on prior riding and showing experience. The team captain and coach can help evaluate you if you are unsure of where you belong.
