2003:06:12 07:17:48 Photo opportunity. I look funny here, as half of my face got lame. A nerve was temporarily damaged so half of my face stopped working. My eye was tearing constantly which was irritating, but you can still finish the Bug with that. (my face is fine now ;-) 205.52 Kb

2003:06:16 15:16:49 Gleuing on the coamings. The same weight-trick. You may notice the small runs on the side of the cockpit. I got them off with a scraper later. 214.81 Kb

2003:06:17 18:37:01 Isn't it cute. The final things were putting the fitting on, and thinking of what goes where. Finally I marked it all with sticky tape, with the name of the piece on, so I solved the puzzle of what goes where only once. I got a bit of a scare earlier, as Peter proposed I built the mast myself, but the mast is 4.20 metres, and this room is about 3.00 metres. So I asked a guy at a local workshop to do the woodwork for the mast. I was some trouble to find the right wood, and to explain him but it got done. Then I decided to finish the boat in the last week (also last week for summer holidays), I worked regularly till 02.00 am, and got up at 7.00. Also sneaker away from work to finish painting the mast. Hard work, but worth it. An extra thing was the the newspaper brought a visit (another idea from Peter ;-) , so there was no way back in the last week, great stuff. 206.06 Kb

2003:06:28 12:23:56 Then finally, the BIG REWARD. Launching party. Our flat was aroused when we lifted the boat out from the fourth floor, and we got a lot of appreciating comments. Rigging to Bug for the first time. 123.96 Kb
