Ed Wood

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are such a perfect team. Ed Wood is a brilliant movie about a... less than brilliant man. The real Ed Wood, director of the worst movie in the world, was the ultimate character for an actor like Johnny to play. Apparently he was still doing the Ed Wood smile a month after the film had wrapped without noticing. God that must have been so scary for his friends!

This is really an ultimate Ed Wood picture. Here he is presenting an awful idea of an awful film, but thinking that it is completely brilliant. Very Tin Woodman & puppy.

Bella Lugosi was his best friend. I think it's brilliant that they had this sort of work & friendship relationship. It is beautifully evident in Plan 9 from Outer Space, Ed Wood's great classic. His magnum opus in a weird way.

This angora fetish is so spiffy. I myself love angora, but not quite to this extent. Please remember that Ed Wood is the man who went parachuting during WWII wearing a garter belt and brasier. I would like to put a picture of him in drag here, but I don't think I shall. Perhaps later.
