Come join us for another WAC-y year of comedy!

On Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. the arts center’s comedy series, created by actor/comedian extraordinaire Phil Hochman and emceed by the always hilarious John McMenamin, will celebrate the beginning of its fifth year of bringing uproarious laughter to the Watchung region. Yes, the hills are definitely alive with the sound of high hilarity- come hear it for yourself!

Hochman and McMenamin have gone all out to open this year’s season of what are sure to be outrageous comic performances. Headlining on the evening of Sept. 16 will be Peter Jung, a resident of Clark, who is making his debut appearance at the center. Though an arts center novice, Jung is stand-up regular at such places as the Tropicana Hotel Comedy Shop in Las Vegas and many comedy clubs throughout New York City. Jung is also a stand-up regular on cable TV having performed on A&E’s Evening at the Improv and having made frequent appearances on Comedy Central. Jung has opened for such comic great as Chris Rock and Ellen Degeneres. Most recently, Jung opened for the classic rock group Jefferson Starship. Hochman and McMenamin promise this comic will leave a lasting impression on the comedy series, which they, themselves, are hoping will remain forever Jung!

Hochman and McMenamin have also gone all out with the selection of that evening’s featured performer, Robert Laney. Laney, who is also making his debut appearance at the center and has performed in numerous New York City comedy clubs as well, most recently appeared at the Laugha Palooza Comedy Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. He has also performed in the annual Urban Comedy Festival. Hochman and McMenmin promise Laney will be zany!

As the comedy series is continuing to rise in popularity and gain audience members, reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the center at (908) 753-0190. Tickets are $10 and as always include refreshments served at the end of the performance.  So come celebrate the opening of the center’s fifth year of bringing high hilarity to the hills of Watchung!
