Watchung
Arts Center amateur photographers belonging to a group they call Studio One are
giving it their best shot this summer. They will be show casing their black and
white prints in the lower gallery throughout the month of August. In order to
become a member of this group, a photographer must be an expert at black and
white printing and be willing to enter state, national and international
competitions and exhibitions.
So
far Studio One has only six members who qualify and will be displaying their
photographs. Those members are specifically: Marion and Paul Boyer, Mindy Leeds,
Charles Nagel, Klaus-Dieter Schleim and Heinz Otto, who is also the executive
vice president of visual arts at the center.
Studio
One members participate in photo shoot sessions and also join for a studio
session once a month at the arts center. The group is currently seeking new
members. If you are an amateur photographer willing to give it your best shot
please contact Heinz Otto at the center at: (908)-753-0190.
Studio
One artists will also receive a first class reception at the center on Sunday,
August 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. The reception is free, open to the public and
includes refreshments. So for anyone wanting to see amateur photographers take
their best shot at the world, the art center is the place to be this August!
