Ok boys and girls, heres the introduction to Chris Perry and I, Sam Robin, idea for a documentary.

Whilst I was traversing around Tournament Road at around 3 o'clock in the morning, I happened across a house, that in the night appeared to be massive. It had a double wooden door, courtyard and turret towers. And you know what occured to me? Someone oughta lay seige to this shiat. So I told Chris Perry, and we came up with an idea. A brilliant one. We get a camera or two, and film us in a mockumentary style as we "lay siege" to this home, and then fight the ensuing battle with the defenders. All of this will be done in a "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" attidude. Serious, but funny.

Heres what will happen. For the drilling, prepartions, arming, and scouting, all people participating will be on the same team. We will film everything, including interviews with various lords, knights, soldier, and so on. During the filiming, we should stay in character as our respective person we play. We will have an editor, so we dont need to worry about perfection.

Arming- We will film the lords and their retainers arming their knights and men at arms. Includes going to party city, making cardboard armor, and foraging for large sticks. Everyone should make their own armor and weaponry, as that will be part of the flavor. ****NEW**** We plan on filming the arming sequence this weekend. Drilling- Film the drills of respective Lords and their armys, division into units and such.

Scouting- Film outriders and scouts as they ding-dong-ditch the castle to examine the inhabitants, and search for the castle itself (cant remember where it was...near some country club)

Prepartion- the lords and knights planning the battle, as well building siege equipment and marshalling troops.

Siege- Film the parlay with the lord

At this point, those designated in advance as the Defenders will break away from the united team (off film). We will marshall our respective teams on an open field. The attackers should have more men, but the defenders should be better fortified. The lords will lay down the rules for combat in the parlay (one hit to the head and chest results in death, etc...we will work this out in a subsequent letter), and then the lords shall deliver their rally speeches. The opposite sides shall charge and retreat and fight until one side surrenders or retreats permantly.

(still looking for another defending lord, Perry will search his church for one) try to recruit as many people for your respective house. Little brothers should be squires. Basically, get everyone you can, and get me their email address. It doesent matter if everyone knows them, just as long as you do. Its about manpower, not fellowship. You either want to recruit minor lords to pledge themselves to you, who should make their own symbol, or recruit men at arms. Knights and lords can have squires, who will fight. Women can either disguise themselves as soldiers or act as medics.

Again, all weapons and armor should be home made, to add flavor to the documentary. Very thin pvc pipe for weaponry, or plastic (play swords), shields should be plywood or some other similar material. Armor can be anything, and should be the most creative. Bows will be nerf guns. Everyone will be responsible for their own armaments. The colors or sigil of the knights liege lord should be used on the armor, but individual sigils can be used on a shield or banner.

Armaments will include
Bike helmets, hoods, other protective helms
Leather jackets, padded sweaters, cardboard, shin guards, anything protective for the body
Shields of any kind
Knights and Lordsshould have: Heavy armor. Swords and daggers, plastic, can include sticks not exceding 3 feet. Shields
Men at Arms- Spears should extend past 4 feet, sticks usually. Medium armor. Shields and dagger. Most should have pikes extended past 5 feet to break any charges and defend the retreats.
Squires- Bows (nerf guns) and daggers, lightly armored. Arms and assists knights in battle.
Bowmen- Bows and daggers, little to no armor.
