Our story begins in ancient Greece when the god Dionysus was born of Zeus and the mortal woman Semele. Dionysus, also known as Bacchus, discovered wine and a beer-like drink made from barley. Upon reaching adulthood, he began wandering the land teaching humans how to cultivate grapevines and make wine. In his wanderings, Bacchus was followed by many people and strange creatures, including centaurs, nymphs, and maenads or Bacchants. These creatures revelled, frolicked, and worshipped Dionysus through music, wine, dancing, and love-making. On occasion, Bacchants in particular would drink to achieve such states of religious ecstacy and drunken frenzy that they would run amok through the forests tearing apart woodland beasts with their bare hands. Certainly this sounds brutal, but the followers of Bacchus were actually generally fun-loving, laid back creatures. After all, Bacchus was the god of joy...But alas, all good things must come to an end, and after the decline of the Ancient Greek culture, the Dionysian mysteries eventually were lost in the Dark Ages. However, the bloodline of the Bacchants continued on, often unknown even to the Bacchant descendants themselves.

Such was the case until the present day when a diverse group of students met up at college during their freshman year. They knew not what drew them together, but the connection was undeniable. The students wanted to join a campus group, maybe a fraternity or sorority, but the ones on campus were all exclusively male or female and they were all way too uptight for this crowd. So they created their own co-ed fraternity, TappaKeggaBeer, on the premise of the things they felt were most important: good friends and good parties. The night of their first initiation drew near; the fridge was brimming with beer and the members of TKB (!) were brimming with nervous excitement. Upon raising their glasses for a congratulatory toast to themselves, the great god Dionysus appeared before them in all his glory. He told them of their true nature as Bacchants and charged them with the task of reviving the Dionysian mysteries so long ago forgotten. Thus the members of TKB (!) set out to find their lost brothers and sisters and bring them back into the fold.....
