Hi, and welcome to my website.

I live on a farm in Northern Alberta,
and I spend a lot of my time thinking about life
and the reasons why we are here.

I was born here,
and even though I hold a great affection for the land and it's people,
my thinking as of late has been focused on issues of a more global nature.
For it seems, what affects one of us, ultimately affects us all.

It is easy to dismiss tragedy in places that are far away,
that happens to those we don't know and whose lives do not affect us personally.
It is easy to gaze at the horror in places like Spain and Iraq, and say
"I'm glad it's not happening here.".

I figure that most folks, if given the chance,
would choose peace instead of war,
to live in a world that was free from terror and pain.
