MY OBJECTIVES:

My goal is to be a real benefit to those who need me.  After a year of intensive training by professionals, I am now equipped to  use massage therapy in a variety of forms to help people with the pains that accompany their life experience. If you are looking for a dedicated worker, strong minded, with a positive approach to massage and real concern for the clients, I hope you will consider me for an interview.

EDUCATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Sister Rosalind’s School of Professional Massage focuses on the therapeutic touch of massage. I have many hours in a variety of methods, including but not limited to deep tissue, sports, acupressure, geriatrics, and Swedish massage. I have extra hands-on work due to my steady efforts to perform massages outside of school on friends, family, and neighbors.  I knew that the more actual practice I performed, the more quickly I would become acquainted with a variety of the needs of potential future clients. Out of class practice was also a way to better integrate school teaching with actual experience. I have completed the Red Cross First Aid & CPR course so that I am better prepared to help someone in an emergency.

EDUCATION

I have compiled 650- hours of school/training at Sister Rosalind's School of Professional Massage.  I attended from March 2000 to March 2001. I completed a 48 hour Swedish Massage course in mid 1999.  My focus then became the medical aspect of massage therapy. My education integrated instructor massage with 41 hours of Intern work at the school in their clinic section. Upon graduation on March 8th, 2001, I will be certified thru the school.  (Actual graduation ceremony will be held on March 21st 2001).

I attended Chippewa Valley Tech School for HSED thru 1999.

WORK HISTORY

I have worked with the public in customer service for over 10 years, and have enjoyed meeting the needs of people. I have always been happy dealing with the public. In the past few years, my focus has turned to Therapeutic Massage and the possibilities of pain relief and healing massage provides. Having prior years of skills in areas that pertain to customer service, has been an asset for me, in the massage environment, enhancing my education and hands on experience.

SUMMARY:

I know that when you learn and don’t use and refresh your mind, the education is too easily filed way deep into the brain where you never go. What happens when this happens to paper files? They collect dust. For this reason and because learning is very good for your mental and emotional well being, I will be taking my national exam, and continue to have continuing education. My notes thru school is good for me to refresh my memory at least once a month. Lets not idle our brain.... Knowledge is the key to success.
