Lydia Ossman, was born in Schnykill Co., Pa., March 14, 1828, and died at her home in Leaf River, Ill., May 8, 1911, aged 83 years, 1 month, 24 days.

          She was married to Michael Kuntzelman June 6, 1847. To this union were born eight children, four boys and four girls, all of whom still survive, except the youngest daughter, Mrs. J.W. Piper, who passed away about twelve years ago.

          They came west in 1868 and settled near Leaf River, where they made their home. Mr. Kuntzelman preceded her to the betterland about twenty years ago. Since that time she has been very lonely, and during the last years, often desired to go home and be at rest. Monday evening, about 6 o’clock, the death messenger came and set her spirit free.

          Grandma Kuntzelman  was converted in early womanhood and united with the Church of God in Pa. She held her membership in that church until she past from the church militant to the church triumphant.

          She had a host of friends and relatives. She is survived by 7children, 43 grandchildren, 50 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

          The children were present at the funeral except two daughters that live in Dakota.
