Lutz – Mrs. Inez  L. Lutz, 87, 113 Lincoln Park Blvd., died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, July 18,1977, in Riverside Manor nursing home after a long illness. Born Aug. 9, 1899, in Leaf River, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel (Sarah) Kuntzelman. Lived 61 years in Rockford, coming from Panquach, Utah. Married to Barney W. Lutz in Freeport Feb. 23, 1929. Attended Leaf River public schools. Survivors include her husband; a son, William J. Sully, Rockford; two grandsons and one great-grandson; several nephews and nieces. A daughter, Dorothy Sully, died in November, 1929.

            Services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, in SUNDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 215 N, 8th St., with Rev. Dale Erickson, pastor of Erie United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. No visitation. Friends may contribute in her name to the charities of their choice.


FRANK SULLY IS DEAD AFTER LONG ILLNESS [Inez's first husband]        (Handwritten 2/3/1928)

Thomas Frank Sully, 59 years old, 219 Forest ave., died Friday evening at 3:30 o'clock at his home after a long period of declining health

Mr. Sully was a lifelong resident of Rockford, being born in this city June 22, 1868. His father, the late Thomas Sully. was notice marshall of Rockford for many years and Frank Sully had served as city jailer and patrolman on the Rockford police department.

Not only was Mr. Sully an athlete in his early manhood but he was a prominent comedian in amateur entertainments. For at time he traveled as "fat man" with sideshows, weighing at that time 550 pounds.

The last employment was with the Burd[?] Ring Co. He was a member of the E. F. W. Ellis lodge, No 633, A.F.&A.M.

Besides the widow, Mrs. Inez Sully, he is survived by four children, Mrs. Stella Marcasson, Miss Dorothy Sully, and Fred and William Sully, all of Rockford. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lena Barnes, 1322 Harlem blvd., and Miss Kate Sully, 2611 W. State st., and a brother Fred Sully, of Seattle, Wash.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock at the Masonic cathedral under the auspices of Ellis lodge. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff cemetery. [offered by Thelma Thomas Livingston/Carole Ann Heller]

Dorothy Catherine Sully, 14 years old, an invalid all of her life, died Wednesday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Inez Lutz, 219 Forest avenue. Her decline had been rapid for a week.

She was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Corvallis, Mont., and had lived in Rockford for 13 years. Besides the mother, she is survived by a brother, Billy, and her grandfather, Joseph Kuntzelman, Leaf River.

Private funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Wilbur Christenson undertaking parlors, 301 Seventh street, the Rev. Perry L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park. [offered by Thelma Thomas Livingston/Carole Ann Heller]


BEN LUTZES TO MARK ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY [Inez's 2nd marriage]

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lutz will mark their silver wedding anniversary with an open house for their friends and relatives in their home, 113 Lincoln Park blvd., Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

Hosts for the event will be their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Sully. The Lutzes have two grandchildren, Cary and Steven Sully.

Assisting will be Mrs. Rachel Buchanan and Mrs. Zoe Nash, both of Minneapolis, sisters of Mrs. Lutz; and Mrs. Eva Stenger, sister of Mrs. Lutz. [offered by Thelma Thomas Livingston/Carole Ann Heller]
