David studied with Jeffrey Neilson-Taylor in Glasgow at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the Opera School of the RSAMD.

He has worked with Scottish Opera and on numerous occasions at the Edinburgh Festival.

His repertoire includes a diverse collection of operatic roles including "Lensky", "Tamino" and "Manrico", and of course oratorio and recital programmes.

He has additionally made recordings and broadcast on television and radio.
