About the Artist:
Mary Beth Peacock is a young artist, who employs the essence of nature and spirit in her work. Regardless of the medium she uses to capture the subject, essence or spirit is an integral part of each finished piece.
Primarily self-taught, Mary Beth is most proficient in watercolour, acrylic, and sculpture/pottery. One of her watercolours (The Arbour) was selected by The Lung Association of Ontario, to be a draw prize in their Southwestern Ontario annual fundraiser. Some works have been sold at auction for the Canadian Mental Health Association annual fundraiser, and others have been accepted for the Gallery Stratford juried exhibition. Mary Beth's work is now shown in galleries from Ontario to British Columbia.
Her recent series of sculptured wreaths (Angels In Our Midst), was extremely well received. While some sculptures were primarily decorative, others (Domestic Violence - Zero Tolerance) made a social statement.
