Hand-crafted Indonesian Gongs
Be the proud owner of a handsome bronze Indonesian Gong with excellent tonal quality complete with a handcrafted teak wood stand, which is 54 1/2 inches (138 1/2 cm) tall and 43 inches (109 cm) wide. The bronze gong itself is hand-cast out of Indonesian bronze and is 22 inches (56 cm) in diameter with a depth of 6 inches (25 cm). The gong is hung by two hand-woven holders of palm-hair. The hand-made mallet of wood and fabric measures l2 inches (30 1/2 cm) in length with the head of the mallet 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. The mallet handle is crafted from kamper wood and when it strikes the gong, the sound reverberates in a lingering fashion.
