BRINGING THE RADICALS OUT FROM THE TEMPLE AND INTO THE OUTER COURTS.... One of the problems within the Post-Modern Church is that the radicals who are empowered and sanctified with the power of the Spirit sometimes save their gifts exclusively for within the walls. The temple is a great place to be used, but we are called to take the healing power of God to the outer courts and minister to those who need us. In Acts 3:11, 5:13 "Solomon's Porch" was a place of healing, accord and deliverance for those on the outer courts of the temple. The apostles showed up in empowerment and reality and healed and delivered. We are all about following that model, while ministering within the church buildings as well. 2. TO BE REAL AND TRANSPARENT TO A LOST GENERATION A disadvantage the men and women of God are forced to overcome is the idea that we are always happy go lucky. Solomon's Porchmen Ministries believes that the Joy of the Lord is truely a state of being, rather than an emotional manifestation. We model our ministry after Ps. 126:5. We will invest into the lost during any season, without feeding into the preconceived notion that Christians are without rainy seasons. We reflect the Joy of the Lord without facade or sham. When the average person realizes that we "sow in sorrow" and still can "reap in joy", then they can truely understand why we have joy everlasting, even through the storms. 3. TO TRANSCEND NATURAL BOUNDARIES For some reason, there is this demonic notion running rampant that God has stopped working in the supernatural realm. We at Solomon's Porchmen think this notion is just ridiculous as it is a lie from the Pits of Hell. The deal is: The average believer doesn't sacrifice the way the apostles of old did, hence they don't see the fruits of the Spirit manifest because they haven't really harvested. Solomon's Porchmen is all about harvesters, men and women of prayer and action. We are not a ministry of empty words. We seek to speak as the very mouth of God, relying and trusting in His Word and proving that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. 4. TO SHIRK THE EGO OF CORPORATE MINISTRY This is not to say that corporate ministry creates ego, but we prefer to get the name of Jesus out there instead of the name of our ministry. Solomon's Porchmen is a non-profit ministry that is all about service. Peter and Paul said to the lame man, "Silver and Gold I have not, but what I do have I give to you: In Jesus name, rise up and walk!" We aren't a group of rich kids trying to get our names out there for the sake of our reputations as men or women of God. We want to serve anyone and everyone who needs a saving touch from God. All that is given to us will be given to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. The service we are called to is the service of the broken, the needy and the lost. 5. ANYONE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE The members of Solomon's Porchmen are just normal people with an abnormal vision that we share in our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:6 says that God shows favoritism to no man. We are all ntohing unless we become something through Christ Jesus. We are just servants. Natural people with supernatural callings. Anyone can be involved. If you have a burden for the lost and agree with our purpose statement, contact us and get plugged in! We have chapters opening up all over the United States.
