We are honored to present Grace Griffith in a celebration of her newest CD, “My Life,” from Blix Street Records.  A perfect blend of beauty and encouragement, depth with lightness, this may be the best recording yet from this beloved and multi-award winning folk vocalist.  Well known from groups such as Connemara and Irish Fire; Grace is a magical song interpreter of diverse styles, including old ballads, American folk music and works by contemporary songwriters.

With Grace for this concert is an incredible group of artists.  Each is multi-talented, versatile, award-winning, and has a loyal following.  Reserve early.  This is a do not miss concert!

  • Al Petteway is a masterful, innovative fingerstyle guitarist. Peers call him a “musician’s musician.”  Fans call him amazing.  His recordings with his partner, Amy White are highly acclaimed.
  • Lenny Williams, is an extraordinary pianist who brings skill and sensitivity to the keyboards. He is an exquisite jazz player, Emmy winning composer, and was a member of Eva Cassidy’s band.
  •  Jody Marshall is arguably the finest hammered dulcimer player in the region as well as a talented multi-instrumentalist and harmony singer.  Her new CD showcases her skill as a composer/arranger.
  • Carey Creed is a singer-songwriter of immense talent and depth with 2 CDs to her name.  Her lovely voice lends itself to a variety of styles, and she is a fine piano and guitar player.
  • Paul Nahay has an uncommon mastery of the keyboard, experience in musical theatre, and far ranging interests.  His “great sense of silliness” assures lots of fun along with the beautiful harmonies.
  • Dave Abe (fiddle, mandolin) can join us.  Trained as a classical violinist, he developed a passion for Irish fiddling and his playing reflects a distinctive northern influence. He has performed and recorded with many notables in the Irish scene, including Irish Fire (with Grace and singer Dominick Murray.)

Finally, it is with immense pleasure and honor we welcome Susan Graham White, songwriter-performer.  Once a partner with Grace in “Hazelwood,” her path has led to numerous awards as a brilliant songwriter.  She penned one of the most beautiful and memorable selections on “My Life.”

As many know, Grace has been living with the challenges of young onset Parkinson’s Disease for several years. She is committed to fostering awareness of the disorder. In support, awareness materials will be available, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to organizations educating on Parkinson disorders.
