Jam Sessions

Our Jam Sessions of acoustic, old time and traditional music resumes at the Old Mill in Bushwood, MD. Musicians and friends are invited to gather around 7 p.m. on the 2nd Friday and at 4 on the last Sunday of each month for music, conversation and lots of fun.Facebook

"The Bushwood Mill Jam Sessions" has it's own Facebook following.

 

 


The Southern Maryland Open Band and Bushwood Mill Band are comprised of local, talented musicians. The bands' repertoire ranges from Irish jigs and reels to 18th century waltzes and old-time mountain music. Enjoy listening to the fiddles, banjos, guitars, accordian, bodhran, dulcimer, bouzouki, and drums.

 

It is an OPEN band meaning if you wish to play with the band at our monthly contra dances, just show up about 90 minutes before the dance to join us in our rehearsals. For additional information, please contact us at contra@smtmd.org.
