Dear Prayer Partners,

The Lord is working in a mighty way in the Southeastern Africa Cluster and we praise Him for it.  Thank you for your prayers on our behalf.  As you continue to pray for us please remember the following prayer requests from our 10 teams.

Basotho Team:   Alan and Babs D. will be joining the Basotho Team in a few months.  Please be in prayer for them as they sell their home, pack their belongings, and move across the world to minister to the Basotho people. (www.basotho.org)

Deaf Team:   Please pray for Sheri and Frank as they continue to minister to deaf groups in the Johannesburg area through Bible Studies and evangelistic meetings.  They are hoping to start a church for the deaf during the first part of next year.  http://members.tripod.com/wret_za

Durban Urban Evangelism Team:   Cindy Schirle and Meg Hesch are presenting True Love Waits! (a three-hour interactive session with a call to commitment) to groups of young people around Durban and are leading follow-up Bible studies for those who commit themselves to living by God's Word.  Ask that God raise up thousands of committed believers across Durban and South Africa to be trained to lead True Love Waits programs in their communities.   Ask that God use this program to build a new foundation of young families for South Africa's future: young people who will be free from AIDS and who will establish faithful, God-centered marriages and families.  Please ask God to give wisdom and strength to Cindy and Meg as they lead in this effort.  www.imb.org/Southern-Africa

Eastern Gauteng Evangelism Team:   This team works with a township church.  Recently the tent that the church meets in was stolen.  Please pray for Al Moore as he works with this struggling church to find a new tent in which to hold their weekly service.  www.imb.org/Southern-Africa

Eastern Metropolitan Evangelism Team:   Ron and Gail Davis have begun working with an Indian church in Johannesburg.  Please be in prayer for them as they mentor, encourage, and teach this congregation consisting mainly of young adults.  Ask that the Lord give Ron and Gail wisdom in leading this small group of believers to reach out to the lost in their community.  www.imb.org/Southern-Africa

Mpumalanga Team:   Jo Carol Elliott, Laura Henage, and the youth group they work with will present a musical, "God of Wonders", on December 5.  Pray that the people who attend will come to understand Who Christmas is all about. Pray for the youth involved in this musical; that they will grow in their walk with Jesus as they sing of His love for the whole world.  Jo Carol will be having surgery on December 11 in Johannesburg.  Please pray for a speedy recovery for Jo Carol.  http://members.aol.com/mpumalangateam/index.htm)

Swazi Team:   One of the greatest needs in Swaziland is committed men willing to be trained and who will then lead/guide in Bible studies and church starts.  Pray for missionaries Wayne Myers and Sy Grayson as they search for committed men to mentor and teach.  (www.swazimissons.org)

Tshwane Evangelism Team:   Laurie Ingram teaches a ladies' Bible study each week.  Please be in prayer for her as she prepares the weekly lessons and shares God's Word with these women.  Laurie has now begun preparations for another sewing ministry project in one of the villages.  Pray for Laurie as she finalizes the details for this volunteer ministry outreach and pray also that the Lord would prepare women in the States to respond to this request.  www.imb.org/Southern-Africa

Western Gauteng Evangelism Team:   Angie Lechner has developed a "Gate Ministry".  Each day refugee women, mostly from Zimbabwe, appear at her gate selling items they've made.  Angie visits with them, reads the Bible with them, shows them love and compassion, and often times leads them to the Lord.  Pray for Angie as she shares God's Word and His love to these hurting and lonely women.  (http://members.tripod.com/wret_za)

Zulu Team:  David and Julie Yngsdal and their four children have arrived in South Africa to began their work with the Zulu people group.  Please pray for this young family as they adjust to their new country and began their year long study of the Zulu language.  www.imb.org/Southern-Africa

Please don't forget the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  This fund supports over 5000 missionaries all over the world.  Thank you for joining us in ministry through your prayers and your financial support.  During this holiday season we want to wish each of you a blessed and happy Christmas.  May the coming year be filled with many blessings for each of you.

For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:11

 Blessings,
