As you know, there has been a devestating earthquake in South Asia with the death toll now believed to be above 50,000 and likely to go into six figures.
More than 2 million people have lost their homes. The magnitude of the crisis is simply overwhelming for Pakistan. There is an urgent need for helicopters,
food, tents and medicines to reach those still alive. In addition to providing food and shelter to survivers, Pakistan also faces an enormous challange
in terms of the future rehabilitation of those who have lost most of their belongings, especially children who have been deprived of their parents.
In this hour of desperate need, you can help in the following three ways:
1. Donate Generously, if you can. Even a small donation of $5 can make a difference of life and death to an individual. You can save a life, literally,
by sacrificing a fraction of your lunch money, provided you make a donation as soon as possible. Here are some recommended charities taking on-line donations:
Association for the Development of Pakistan (funds will be transfered to Edhi foundation or the President of Pakistan relief fund on choice of the donor)
