Duty Cemetery
Duty, VA

Some folks know this cemetery as the "Duty Cemetery" and I have heard others refer to it as the "Farmer Cemetery". It is well cared for. It is located just off Route 602 near the Dickenson and Buchanan County lines at Duty, VA. My son Brian and I visited and photographed the cemetery June 18, 2002. There are many graves here that are marked with fieldstones that have no writing on them that I could see. Some are just sunken places without any marker. I have included the epitaphs that were on the stones. Contact me if you have questions. I can't promise that I will always know the answer, but maybe just maybe I will! Glenda
