BENEFIT DANCE AT CLEVELAND ROLLER MILL
MUSEUM scheduled: Saturday, August 4th at 7:30 PM. Dont miss this Mill Dance at the historic
Cleveland Roller Mill Museum. Proceeds benefit the Mill, which
is the only flourmill of its size, and type that has been restored
to operating condition in the southwestern United States.
The Rifters, one of New Mexico's premier
country western dance bands is featured.
The Rifters consist of Rod Taylor (guitar, mandolin, vocals),
Don Richmond (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, pedal steel guitar,
dobro, harmonica, vocals), and Jim Bradley (bass, vocals.) They
play what might be described as Southwestern Americana.
The years of playing country two-step, waltzes and an occasional
polka to the dance crowds in their northern New Mexico homeland
has given their music a toe-tapping rhythm that is engaging and
undeniable.
This unique event includes a potluck on the lawn in front of
the Mill prior to the start of the dance for those who would
like to participate. There will be an outside dance floor set
up. Free dance lessons are available prior to the dance. Following
the dance there is informal picking and singing under the stars
around a campfire. Details and driving to Follow:
