BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Raye Rawls is a nationally prominent mediator, arbitrator and trainer in the field of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. She has provided training in the field of dispute resolution nationally and internationally. She has mediated and arbitrated over 2000 cases for various city, state and federal courts around the country, local, state and federal agencies such as EEOC and the United States Postal Service, corporations, non-profit organizations, community justice centers, and community organizations involving a wide variety of issues. Current Positions: Faculty Member, Fanning Institute, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia President, Resolution Resources Consulting, Inc.
1997 - 2004: Vice-President, Resolution Resources Corporation, Atlanta, Georgia.
Provided training and services in alternative dispute resolution processes and system design. Developed courses in dispute resolution processes (mediation, early neutral evaluation and arbitration), cultural issues in conflict management, leadership and team building. Spoke regularly to bar associations and other professional associations on mediation and other dispute resolution processes.
1992 - 1996 Administrative Law Judge, Department of Medical Assistance, State of GA
Administered hearing provision program between providers or recipients regarding reimbursement for or entitlement to medical services.
1988 - 1990 Assistant Dean, Georgia State University College of Law
Responsible for policy development and administration of law school admissions, records, placement and financial aid, recruitment, publications, special programs, bar certifications and minority retention programs. Prepared yearly reports for the American Bar Association for school accreditation purposes. Responsible for information gathering and compilation of reports for the dean, faculty, staff, university administrators and various law school associations. Screened and hired law school personnel.
