Draw the Picture

Use a piece of graph paper or the grid below to graph the points:

A (-6,4)
 B (3,4)
 C (3,-5)
 D (-6,-5)

Now connect the points in order, ending back at the first point (A, B, C, D, A), to produce a closed figure.

That was the easy part. Now things get more complicated. This figure has more than one name. Below, you will find a list of possibilities.

How many of the names listed can be applied to the figure you drew?

In your explanation, list the names and explain why each name can be applied to the figure you drew.

You may use the glossary in your math book, or this glossary link on line: http://www.hbschool.com/glossary/math/ to help you with your solution.
