How to Submit Items for the Website:       

Welcome.  I hope you want to share events and pictures about your family on our family website.  Its been a long term goal of mine, and I finally decided to take it on and just do it!  I would like your pictures, information, birthdays, important events, whatever you would like on the website for others to look at and read.  Its not difficult to do.  Lets get to it. 

For written information, just email it to me right from your email.  Or, attach a file from your computer and email it to rmn518@excite.com  Let me know how to title it, other information, where to put, etc.  I will take it and upload it to the website. 

For pictures:  digital pictures are the best.  Take the pictures with a small file setting.  Which means, that if you have a digital camera, make the setting so you can get the most pictures on the memory card.  That means that it is the least amount of file space.  Remember, websites need conserve file space.  We are not printing pictures, we are sending them out on the internet.  You can send digital pictures to me as attachments through your email.  If you are not sure what size they are, not to worry, I will set the size myself, and crop them if I need to.  If you know about such matters, make the pictures no more than 400 pixels wide.

If you have regular film pictures, you have two options:  You can send me the pictures by snail mail, and I will get them on the website, and send them back to you if you like.  Second, you can scan them yourself, and make a file on your computer, and attach them in email, as mentioned above.   

Take it slow!  The important thing is just to do something, even though it is small for now.  As time goes on, we will make the website really nice and fun to visit.  But I will need your help!  Unless you keep sending things, and I keep updating the site, no one will want to keep coming back.
