Of course we're having fun! The second CD is finally done and is available at Val's Halla in Oak Park IL, Tobias Music in Downers Grove IL, by mail order (see our printable order form).

There are some wonderful guest musicians on this one... Jim & Mary Grosso and Bob Lopardo (of Thursday's Child fame), Kristin Shilt, Mike Lenich, Stephanie Hope (of the fabulous Hootin' Annies of Kansas City), and of course the awesome harmonies (and fiddle!) of Lila Holdsworth and our favorite drummer Jeff Holdsworth. Jennifer Shilt has once again done a spectacular job with the graphic design. Thanks to Lilli Kuzma of WDCB's Folk Festival for supporting the project!

As with "Just Be You" the songs range from sweetly serious to supremely silly. "Stuck in the 60s...cooler near the lake" includes 10 new songs by his naturalness plus 2 written by Micky and our first ever joint sonwriting effort!

We have been able to produce this CD from the sales of Just Be You (thank you everyone!).   We are most grateful for the support we've received from friends, old and new and look forward to seeing you at the shows.

Garage Folk Reunion

GFR is our answer to the "Folk Pedigree Tradition" that deems a verifiable aural transmition as the only true folk music. Well we think folk music comes from folks like us and if radio and other technology is part of our music tradition then so be it! Don't forget the fiddle was once a technological innovation.

GFR presents a lively mix of originals, flashback folk-rock, parodies, fiddle tunes and other fun stuff - no deep thoughts! GFR is taking a break for now as the new CD rolls out; check back for updates.
