By popular request the rules for the PODXS 070 Club 40m Sprint scheduled to run 05-July-2003 have been changed to support both PSK31 and PSK63 modes. Contest participants have the option of working single mode PSK31, PSK63 or BOTH modes. If working both modes, submit a separate entry for each mode worked. Scores will be posted by time zone/entry class/mode.

40 Meter PSK Sprint Rules
Sponsored by the Penn-Ohio DX Society (PODXS)

PURPOSE - To work as many stations on 40 meters as possible in a maximum six(6) hours using PSK31/PSK63 mode.

ENTRY CATEGORIES - QRP 5 watts, Low Power 50 watts, Medium Power 100 watts (all powers maximum output).

MODES - Single mode PSK31, PSK63 or both modes.

DATE - Saturday 05-July-2003, 2000 - 0200 (YOUR LOCAL TIME)

EXCHANGE - callsign, signal report and state/province/country (SPC). Call "CQ 40m test".

BANDS - 40 meters only. Work each station once per mode. All contacts must be 2-way. Cross-mode or cross-band contacts not allowed.

SCORING:

QSO points - Each contact counts one (1) QSO point, dupes count (0) points.
Multipliers - Each different state/province/country (SPC) worked. Use current ARRL DXCC list for country reference. Final score = (Total QSO Points) x (Total Different SPC's).

AWARDS -Top scores for each mode/entry class from each time zone receives a certificate, highest score gets Top Dog. All 070 Club member entries received will receive an Attaboy for their participation in the event. For more information on the 070 Club check out http://www.podxs.com/html/070_club.html

ENTRIES - Send log data showing date, time(z), exchange received and claimed score. Be sure to also include your callsign, your local time zone, mailing address, e-mail address, entry class/mode and 070 Club member number if applicable.

All entries must be received by 5-August-2003. A listing of logs received and claimed scores will be posted on the website at https://www.angelfire.com/folk/leonards/40mresults.html as they are received. Entries with excessive dupes will be listed as check logs. All entries are subject to verification.

The Penn-Ohio DX Society (PODXS) reserves the right to disqualify entries deemed not in accordance with the above rules or contrary to the spirit of this event.
