Super Computers:
If you have played games on your computer for more than 5 years, you might have noticed how much faster and more realistic the games have become eversince. If you have ever seen really old games, like "Pacman", which were played 10 years before you were born, you will have noticed even more, that computer games have faced extreme changes.
This is mainly because the hardware has become better: The processors have become faster and the storage has become bigger.
At the end of the '80s, the best PC had about 8 MegaHertz, now, in 2005, they have already 3800 MHz(3.8 GigaHertz). According to BBC news on their website (author: unknown), in 10 year time they will have reached a speed of 1 TeraHertz (1000 GHz or 1 000 000 MHz)!
And much smaller too! Probably you will not be able to see the processor of your PC in the future, which means that your whole PC will become smaller! On the picture below, compare the Pentium processor to the USB flash device! Processors will be small as a thumb nail, and many times faster than the ones used today!
Additionally, faster computers are a major step to A.I., artificial intelligence, which requires very fast calculations due to the amount of possibilities the computer must calculate, to make a decision, independent of the user.
What does that mean for you?
Well, computer games well be even more realistic than today, and it is possible that you will feel like watching a movie while playing, or even think to be driving a racing car, running through ancient tombs etc.
