Hi, Everyone, I know it seems a little early to be thinking of Christmas, but this is exactly the right time to be thinking of the survivors of the Katrina hurricane! 

I, along with my family and friends, will be gathering together Christmas gifts to be sent to the evacuees in time for the Holiday Season.

My husband and I will supply a truck and trailer to deliver these gifts to my home state of Alabama, to be distributed to those who have taken refuge there.

I cannot accept food, due to U.S. Customs regulations, but we will be accepting the following: Toys; any age, male and female Clothes; any size, any age Toiletries Pet toys & treats, for those whose "children" are of the four-legged, furry type Household items of any type!  After all, these people will be starting over, and might enjoy something to make their temporary shelters seem more like "home".

Let your imagination and your wallet be your guide!  I will accept pretty much anything, because these families have lost EVERYTHING.  Nothing is too small, or too large.  All I ask is that it be NEW.

I hope to be able to have this ready to leave Canada by the last week in November. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone who may want to help. Ask your friends, club members, merchants....ask everyone.  This is something that we, here in Canada, can do to help.
