Weiss-Blau Bayern Junior Schuhplattler  | Every year the Weiss-Blau Bayern Junior Schuhplattler group gets the chance to host their very own event – Kinderfest! Kinderfest has become an annual event for 10 years now, for children of all ages to come and have some fun. Every spring children’s groups from all different nationalities come to share their unique forms of dancing with other children and see others perform. |
| When you come to Kinderfest you can expect to meet many other kids and have fun to boot. Every year there are two piñatas (one for the younger kids and one for the older kids), as well as a huge Tombola (raffle) where prizes can be won. |  |

| Kinderfest 2007 | |
The Weiss Blau Bayern Juniors hosted its 13th Annual Kinderfest on Sunday, April 29. And, as always, it was a great success. Audience, both young and old enjoyed the afternoon of music, dance, Tombola, piñata and popcorn. This year performers were Alpine Junior Dancers Kitchener, Concordia Enzian Jr. Schuhplattler Kitchener, Cracovia Polish Dance Ensemble Brampton, K.G. Loreley Youth Dancers Oshawa, Macedonian Folk Ensemble Illinden Mississauga, Shiamak Indo Jazz Dance Movement Mississauga, Woodgate School of Irish Dance Brampton and our own group. Scott Siegner, our dance teacher and MC for the event welcomed the guests and introduced the event, “…our goal here today is to provide a venue in which we can display, share and celebrate our respective cultural backgrounds through dance and music while promoting fun, interaction and fellowship within the community. We feel it is important for our children to learn and help preserve our traditions as they are the future. Let us help them be proud of their heritage, keep the traditions alive, and have fun in the process.”
