Junctions is a social group for men who are gay, bisexual or unsure. It meets weekly in Coventry.

There are so few places for us to go other than the gay scene to socialise so we thought we'd offer an alternative to it. You can chat to others and drink as much tea as you like without having to strain your vocal chords over loud music. Junctions is for gay and bisexual men in Coventry. Men who don't fit into either category but are attracted to men are just as welcome. It's a place to pop in and socialise away from the gay scene. There are workers or volunteers on hand to help you with anything that's bothering you. We have all the gay press and sometimes run special events. It's all completely free.

Although the workers aren't experts at everything we do have up to date information and good contacts with other agencies and may be able to help you with something. If you've not been before you're welcome to pop in any Saturday between 2PM and 4PM - we'll be pleased to see you.

Click here for pictures from the World AIDS Day benefit night at Rainbows Coventry. THT raised over £1000 from your contributions and entry fees which Rainbows donated to THT. All this money will go to help local people living with HIV and AIDS.
SPECIAL CONSTABLE RECRUITING

This year to date, there has been two homophobic incidents reported to Little Park Street Police Station. Bearing in mind that this is a busy City Centre police station, is this a true reflection of this type of crime?

Can you make a difference?

The Police at Little Park Station are currently aiming to recruit people from all backgrounds to give a true representation of society.

By becoming a member of the Special constabulary, YOU can become a voice for YOUR community.

Helping us to help you!

MONTHLY MIXERS
Mesmen have Monthly Mixers at Rainbows pub in Short Street and everyone is welcome. On the last Wednesday of the month at least two people from the team will be in the bar at Rainbows if anyone wants to join them for a drink, chat or to ask about any other local services, etc

It is for regulars who fancy a drink mid week on a normally quiet night as well as for anyone moving new to the area who doesn't know many people yet. It is also a good opportunity for anyone who hasn't been on the scene to go without feeling left stood at the bar with no one talking to them. A worker or volunteer can meet anyone outside if they don't want to walk in on their own. To find out more ring 024 7622 4090 or email John.

GLBT ALCOHOL SERVICE
The Community Alcohol Service in Coventry is working in partnership with us to offer weekly appointments for the gay community at THT's offices at 10 Manor Road. There are four slots available each Monday between 2pm and 4pm for anyone who wants to talk to someone about theirs or someone else's drinking. People are welcome to come even if they just want to check what the recommended drinking levels are. It doesn't have to be about your own drinking. It
could be a friends, partners, family members, etc Appointments can be made by ringing THT on the usual numbers.

OUT MINDS
We are running a weekly group in Solihull with Mind for men with some mental health issue. Solihull Mind is a self defining service so that can be feeling a bit down from time to time to being counselled at a place like Mind for mental health difficulties before. Like Junctions it is a social group and already has a core group coming regularly. Ring John or Charlie for more info at the Coventry office.
