Kathismas

The Kathismas are the divisions of the Psalms used in the Orthodox Church for daily chanting.  If used a person will chant the whole of the Psalter in one week.  Below is a table showing the Kathismas and the Psalms in each one of them.  The numbering follows  the Septuagint.

The next table shows what Kathismas are chanted when.  During Lent the Psalms are almost chanted twice in a week.  Then I have a few books on the Psalms that I have found helpful.
