MARGARET BARNES DIAMOND AWARD
This award was established in 1988 as a national outstanding member award. This honor is presented during the even-year convention to a person who has made outstanding contributions continually over an extended period of time regarding housekeeping, the Association and its advancement; has rendered meritorious service to all areas of I.E.H.A.; and has written articles showing unusual insight and importance to the housekeeping industry.



IEHA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
An annual scholarship(s) up to $800.00 will be awarded to IEHA member(s) enrolled in a program of study leading to an undergraduate degree, associate degree or IEHA approved certification programs, including the self-study course. It will be awarded to the student(s) submitting the best original maunscript on housekeeping within any industry segment (hospitality, health-care, education, government buildings, etc.).


DR. WILLIAM D. JOYNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Established in 1998, this award is given during even-year conventions in honor of William D. Joyner, who truly exemplified the word “achievement”. This award is bestowed upon a member of the Association who has shown exemplary service to the housekeeping profession.



THE HONORARY MEMBERSHIP AWARD
Presented during the even-year convention and approved by the Association Board during their Spring Board Meeting, this award is given to a long-time member who has made notable contributions to the housekeeping management profession, has been a huge supporter of I.E.H.A., has the I.E.H.A. passion, and has lived I.E.H.A

THE VENDOR MEMBER AWARD
Established in 2005 for the I.E.H.A. member vendor who signs up the most new I.E.H.A. members, this award is presented during the odd-year convention.

THE GOLDEN BROOM AWARD
This award was established in 2004. All districts are encouraged to increase their membership by 30% annually. This award is computed by staff as of June 30 and presented during the odd-year convention. This is a traveling plaque award.

THE SUPERIOR CHAPTER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The odd-year convention is the time for this presentation. The criteria are as follows: Compliance with minutes/audits, announcements, newsletters; significant initiative in education programs; communication to membership ; overall organizational skills-mentoring/training teamwork as noted in minutes professional presentation of materials (10 points).

THE ROY YOUNG EXHIBIT AWARD
Three vendors who exceed booth development and presentation during the trade-show portion of IEHA’s even-year conventions receive this award.

THE SPIRIT AWARD
This new award is presented annually to the Chapter Membership Chair who develops the best membership recruitment plan at the Chapter level and achieves 20% increase in new members.

THE ANN LANGDON AWARD
The award is presented every two years at the Association convention to the Chapter with the largest percentage increase (meeting a minimum requirement of a 5% increase) of Certified members during the preceding two-year period.

THE BEULAH SANDERS AWARD
This award is presented to the District with the largest percentage increase (meeting a minimum requirement of a 5% increase) in Certified members during the preceding two-year period. br>
THE CHARLES MILLER AWARD
The District with the largest percentage increase in Registered members in the preceding two-year period receives this award. There is a minimum requirement of a 2% increase to be eligible for this award.

THE FATHER HINDEL AWARD
This award recognizes IEHA chapters who promote Registered status with their membership. The award is presented every two years at the Association convention to the Chapter with the largest percentage increase (meeting a minimum requirement of a 2% increase) in Registered members during the preceding two-year period.

THE MEMBERSHIP AWARD
The Membership Award recognizes the Chapter with the largest percentage membership increase over the last two years. To be eligible, the chapter must meet a minimum increase of 10% membership.
