   IDA Alappuzha Installation 2011
 Ida Alappuzha has installed Dr.Satheesh Kumar as the 11th president on 16th Jan2010 at Hotel Prince in a Colorful function which was well attended by a large no. of People from IDA. The program also witnessed installation ceremony of 2 new memberes to the Alappuzha Branch

Dental Council of India gets NEW PRESIDENT
April 2, 2011-NEW DELHI
Dr. Dibyendu Mazumder has been elected as the president of DCI, he defeated Dr Anil Kohli in a closely fought contest. On behalf of all of us we wish him all the best and hope that he will work for welfare of the profession and for all of us and public and will soon start fulfilling all the promises that he has made. It is official and his name is now on the DCI website
FDI World Dental Conference in Mexico from 14-17- Sep 11

Ida Alappuzha has conducted the State Cultural Fest 2010 on May 29th East Rotary Charity hall. This is the Second major State event Allotted to Ida Alappuzha in Successive years. The event was a great success. A great recognition to the organizational ability of the Alappuzha Members. Congratulations to Dr.Arun Babu and his Team !

Members or the Public can contact IDA Alappuzha Branch secretary for Joining this noble effort to help the poor patients to bring back their smiles at a very minimum cost. Please utilize this offer to give smiles to those innocent victims of this defect.

Ida Alappuzha Donates For the Pain and Palliative care Project
ID A Alappuzha in a noble gesture have donated a sum of Rs.8000/- as an initial contribution to the ' Pain and Palliative care Centre'. And also promised further contributions in future of a substantial amount.IDA Kerala State President Dr.Samuel K Ninan had all praises for this gesture by Ida Alappuzha. Ida Alappuzha member Dr.Usha was Also felicitated for her active interest in the project. Ida Alappuzha being a professional body has set great traditions in their commitments to the society. Our Location

Alleppey, (Alappuzha in Malayalam) is an old port town, in the erstwhile Princely State of Travancore, India.  It was the nerve centre of the commercial activities in the State before it lost its prominence to the newly emerged modern port city of Cochin.  Alleppey is still the leader in Coir, the wonder product from the coconut husk. It is the largest exporter of coir and coir products.  Surrounded by lakes and lagoons, Alleppey is now a main tourist attraction in Kerala, the God's own country.

When to visit Alleppey

          

Alleppey is best to be visited during November to January even though the world famous snake boat race takes place during the season of harvest festival called "Onam" which falls in august. The main temple festival in Alleppey called 'CHIRAPPU" is in December and takes place at 'Mullakkal'. There also will be other programs like Beach fest etc during the season.
