4/5/02: well the major rush of visitors has ended but there seems to now be a steady steam of new people visiting the site. WELCOME! i hope that you can find something interesting here. Lot's of new people in the links section. so check that out. and finally i've gotten everything set up for the recording of the first homie LP "you go disco" so i know i said i started it, but so many things weren't working out. i took my whole studio apart and put it back together again and the actual recording will probaly begin on Monday. i still dont know whether or not to actually make the cd out of it or just put mp3's on the site. so YOU TELL ME. there's a poll up now saying whether or not you'd buy this album. if i get thirty people willing to, then it will be done. i expect to be finished by June (hopefully) so you should do this poll quickly. alright, i have to go work at my not so good day job in a few hours so i'm going to go to sleep. goodnight. peace be with you. -Jonny

3/31/02: HAPPY EASTER!"notes from the disco sessions" well i decided to make my sound quality better and that entitles getting better stuff so for the past week i've been fiddlin around with the thing called a "POD". everyone tells me they're amazing and is just what i need. well folks, it just might be, but i can't figure out how to make the freaking thing sound good in Cubase (the computer program that i record into)! it sucks. i also broke a guitar string so that might set me back a couple of days. -Jonny
3/27/02: nothing to report except that work had begun on homie's first LP "you go disco". laid down some guitar tracks and they sound pretty decent so i might not be back for a while. I'm gonna be a little busy. thanks for understanding. -Jonny
3/18/02: oh my goodness i must be on crack or something. three updates in three days. wow. this time there is some music news for this update as well as an update to the site. work has begun on the first homie LP! included will be all of the songs that have had their debut on this site(sans "silent night" and "karma police" which were special tracks given only on this site) and there are a few that you haven't even heard yet. this project will take a while but at least it has started. i still haven't decided whether or not i'm going to actually make this a CD or to just keep it online. you tell me. ummm.... and with an album you need a discography page. so check that out. all the songs have been fleshed out and arranged (except for minor things) and the best ten were chosen. i have a lot of songs. be happy that only a few make it up here. for every good song there are 20 bad ones before it. i still have to work on the biography and photo sections of the site, but every thing will come in time. it's only 9:00 PM but i think i' going to sleep. bye bye. -Jonny
3/17/02: well look at that. updates two days in a row. once again this is not a music update. just a site one. if you look though, the appearance of the site is much more attractive. through some fluke of blessed html, i managed to get rid of all the advertisements on my site. wa-hoo!!! lets see how long that lasts. ***break in writing***** my site is suspended as i write this due to excessive bandwith. 3/16/02: well stuff is going on at this site (even if it isn't music). i'm sure that if you're a regular visitor you've noticed some superficial changes to the site. i thought it needed something. and i think this menu bar thingie is a nice touch. umm... lot's of music plans in the works and with any luck i should have something to give you guys soon. to the people that actually e-mail me and dig the music i'm sorry i can't work faster i've got midterms and i'm sick and i've got my crappy dayjob and i've got the stress and jubilation of working for weezer and my drums aren't at my house and i'm fighting tooth and nail just to make sure i have housing when i go to college in boston in the fall and i have all the stress of figuring out how i'm going to cope with leaving everyone but yet i want to go with all my heart. needless to say life is tough right now. sorry i'm venting. but i might as well be talking to myself. i wonder how many people come here and look at what i write down? i wonder what they think of me? i wonder if my music is any good, or if it sucks? i wonder if there is anyone out there trying to figure out how to play a song i wrote?.... i wonder......
2/26/02: hello, well as you can see i'm starting to make the site look a little nicer and i've added some things here and there. if you haven't already, you should check out the new "band" section. this section includes myself and anyone that contributes musically to any facet of a song. so far the only person i've collaborated with is my friend Anne and i've been getting positive feedback from fans about that. hopefully she'll come and sing again. hopefully i'll get more people to help out from time to time. nothing new recorded at this point but i'm writing a song right now that i've been working on for many months now. it's finally starting to shape up. so soon it'll be up here. as far as i know naive and love song still aren't up on mp3.com . just give it a little bit of time. they'll be up shortly. goodnight everyone. it's very early in the AM and i need to retire. -Jonny
2/20/02 : HEY HEY! sorry it's been so long! if you went to see weezer on theur latest tour then you can see what i've been busy with. Weezer used three designs that me and a friend created on their tour merchandise. getting that thing to happen was alot of work but a great experience. OK NOW FOR HOMIE STUFF!! i haven't been slacking off though. today two new songs are making their debut on the site. one is called "naive". this one has been around for a while, but i was never happy with the way it sounded. this is the first homie song to feature another person. if you download the song you'll hear the lovely voice of a good friend of mine named Anne Pederson. this is the completely finished re-recording of naive. i plan on re-recording all my songs when i have finished a total of 10 songs. then i'll call it an album and take a break for a while. the other song that's new for download is "the love song". i just really felt like writing a love song. you tread on thin ice when you write one, but i think it came out nicely. i know a few people have problems downloading my songs directly from the site and can get them more successfully from mp3.com. they'll be up there in like 2 weeks. they have to approved. ummm... i'd like to say thank you to the few fans i have that have contacted me. i really like (and need) the support. i'm thinking of actually making a band to play these songs in the summer. but i don't know.... it's just a thought. i think i'll update a little more than usual now that things are almost back to normal for me. later guys. -Jonny
1/13/02: well i hope i don't get sued for this but , i made i cover of Radiohead's "Karma Police". the string arrangement that you hear is by a group called "Section-S". they are really good and i hope the never find this site. umm with that said, enjoy the cover. i think it's really good. thanks alot to all the people that have been e-mailing me lately. i appreciate it alot. the more confidence boosts i get, the more songs that you get. later homies. -Jon

1/8/02: hey there. if you've checked the mp3 section today, you've already noticed that my version of "silent night" is back up. i put it back up in the place of "patriot song". if you are new to the site and want to hear "patriot song" it is still available at http://www.mp3.com/homie . alright that's the news for now. i'm starting another song today, and it currently has no title. one thing is though, it will be rocking. later.
1/5/02: well hello there. someone left a message on my board telling me to update the news section. so I am. the reason you haven't heard from me in a while was because i ws hard at work on the song that's now up for download. "deathmetal" is what i'm calling it right now (for lack of a better title). it is about some people i met whilst attending hunter college this past fall. it has taken me over two months to get this song done. it's not like i actually spent tons of time on it. i just haven't had much time at all lately to spend on recording. so i hope you enjoy it. it'll be on the mp3.com site soon but for now it's only available on this site. alright.... hey! one more thing.... congratulate me. i got a scholarship to Berklee college of music! wa-hoo! i think this site will just get better and better when i go up there. maybe i'll even make an actual band to play these songs with. oh.... if you live on Staten Island, or the NYC area, the two homie songs "girl" and "you shook me up" are going to be performed live, for the first time, the last saturday of January at Salem Church on Clove Road. that night the band i play in is playing songs from myself, ben folds five, spacehog and others. it's not a real church-like thing. so if you're interested, just contact me at homieisme@yahoo.com . later .

well my first semester of college is over and you know what that means.... more songs very soon. i have one that just needs some drums added, one that you already know of that i'm doing over and one that i just wrote yesterday. hopefully i can give them as a little christmas present to the few faithful fans i have. umm.. in other news, weezer are purchasing a total of 4 designs from me to put on weezer merchandise. from what i understand these designs will most likely be on tour merchandise. that means they will not be for sale on weezer.com. so go see weezer next time they tour and buy something. later guys. i think i'll add those drums right now. the next post will be christmas eve, so stop by. later homies.

11/29/01: howdy! sorry about the lack of update. i've been working on some major school projects and have also been continuing doing some design work for weezer. If you didn't know, I'm actually making some designs that will be used on weezer merchandise. that's what's on the page entitled "for weezer". they've been going there to see some ideas. it's kind of my online portfolio. some good news..weezer's planning on buying most of those designs so hopefully you'll soon find them on a t-shirt or something. i have no idea what any of the designs are going on, but it's weezer's you know it'll be rad. there's a new design up in the for weezer section. this is a collaboration between me and former half-japanese-girl member Vtio. have some weezer cereal. it's a good source of rock!!. oh... for those of you that come here for the music(like that happens), a new song will be up soon now that college is winding down. later homies. it got to go to bed now. ahhh sleeeep. what a concept!
11/24/01: :). so I am on mp3.com under the name "jonathan kiedrowski",(what kind of crazy band name is that!). all the songs are now there. I think that's good to have the songs in two places. I'm gonna put all the songs there and have like an archive. this site will be where I debut new material and mp3.com will be where you can download the old favorites. oh... I took the about page down cuz it was stupid a better and more comprehensive,(and better looking) page will be up soon. i have so many projects to do soon, i shouldn't even be updating now but i feel that there are some people who go here and think my songs and what i'm doing is groovy, and that makes my day. i have very low self-esteem so it's good when people tell me good things about myself.....ummm... i don't know where i was going with that and i've had to fix numerous typos so it's time to go to sleep. later homies.-Jonny

11/17/01: a momentous day! homie has made it onto Mp3.com!! finally.... i've been trying to get on that shiznit for a while. their format sucks. umm... basically what this means is that, this site is my main site but eventually(very soon) i'm gonna run out of space on the server that my songs are hosted on, so mp3.com will contain all my songs that you now know(and love hopefully) and this site will be where i debut my songs. it sounds like a good system. later homies. i'm sleepy.
11/16/01: Wa-hoo a new song! yeah, i'm really excited. i haven't had time to finish recording a song in a really long time so i'm happy. Oi... the song is called monster and i've been trying to finish it since..., refer to the October second news and a word about monster is in there. also, being that I was in NYC's only weezer cover band, i have a little experience playing their songs, so i decided to cover one song. i just need to record the solo and then it'll be up. i'm not gonna tell you which one, you'll just have to wait. um... i want to thank the few people who have emailed me. thanks for letting me know that some people actually go to this site! umm... now i'm gonna post the lyrics to "monster" and then get back to writing another song. this ones really good, i think. but then again, i think all the songs are good. the biggest problem i had as a songwriter for a while was that i would write a song and think it was really cool while i was writing it and then i would listen to it later and say to myself " i wouldn't listen to this crap!". i'm glad to say, I don't think my music's crap anymore. thanks homies for letting me post my songs on the internet. later.
11/04/01: hello november! well a new song is up but it wasn't really intended to end up here. i just got a new cell phone plan and wrote a song for my voicemail message. well, the cell phone apparantly doesn't have that great of a microphone so instead of just dumping the song, i put it here, it's only 28 seconds long and a nice little ditty. i hope you like it. hey, i don't know any of you people that are actually checking out the site. 10/27/01; whoa boy......well sorry i haven't been updating. life has taken an interesting twist recently. it seems that Rivers Cuomo, of the band weezer, was checking out my site a little while ago and really liked an image on it. so much so that they're buying it from me to put on wonderful weezer merchandise. i haven't been updating because i've been working on designs for them to use on more merchandise. hopefully they'll like a few of the ones i'm coming up with. well, i just wanted to let the people that actually check this site out regularly know what was going on. don't worry though, very soon i promise, there will be more songs for download. the rock is still hard in my studio. life's just a little busy right now. later homies.

10/19/01: well it has been quite a while since an update was given. um..life has been quite crazy these past few days and i haven't gotten a chance to record much. but now my studies are tapering off a little and the songs were worked on again today. Anne Pederson, who you can find in the band section, is gonna sing a song with me. i'm almost done writing it. It will be the first song that i play the piano on and it's gonna be a little better quality than the other songs. i'm still kinda new at this recording stuff. eventually, when i have about ten songs, i'll re-record all of them and call it an album. this will, of course, be free. i don't need money for this. i just want to get my music out there and if you like it that's great and if you don't, don't complain, you didn't pay anything for it. the links section has been updated with two more bands and the best place ever to get weezer mp3's. oh.. some people have been asking me who Matt is. from Matt's corner i mean. he's a friend of mine and former roadie to the half-japanese-girls. he attends American University in Washington D.C. now. As you can probaly tell, he's very opinionated and has interesting views on society in general. i gave him a space on this website because i think that, right or wrong, everyone should have their opinion heard. sorry about the lack of updates once again. hopefully it'll be very soon that some more songs will be up. OH... does anybody out there know a place to host alot of mp3's? my host only gives me 20 MB so in a few more songs, i'll have to start rotating them. any help with that would be appreciated. later homies.
10/7/01: ok so i guess you that have been checking out the homie site have realized that the other half of homie, named Vito, is completely gone from the site. Me and Vito talked yesterday and decided that he should pursue another band because I'm way too busy with other things to be a "real" band. that is, playing gigs in a bunch of places and having band practices and such. I don't have time for that, but i do have time to still write my songs and record them in my studio and post them on this site so, now "homie" is completely just this site. Another thing, in the band page you will see people popping up. this is because they came over and recorded with me on a song or two or a few. i plan to have many guests playing a variety of instruments so keep an eye out for that. umm.. i've written like two more songs since last post but i need to finsh recording three ones before i can get to them. i hope that you can dig what's going down over here. 10/2/01: it's 12:37 right now and i'm really tired. sorry i haven't updated in a while. I'm busy with getting my stuff together to go to Berklee College Of Music. 9/17/01: it has only been a week since i put this news page up. i thought it would be news on what's going on with homie. there's so much freakin news my head is spinning. i'm still feeling totally horrible about the attack, but i don't need to say anything more about it. 9/13/01: i still can't go back to school. this is very frustrating. i'm actually paying for my eduacation now and i can't go. these terrorists took a little bit of my education away from me as well as everything else that is missing. well, i put up better versions of the songs "girl" and "you shook me up". if they aren't better, e-mail me and let me know. i'm about ready to start recording another song called "julianne" so look for that sometime next week. later homies.
9/12/01: for those of you that don't know, homie is based in NYC. nobody in the band or close to the band was hurt in yesterday's tragedgy. I was almost right there though. i attend Hunter College in Manhatten and luckily, my classes didn't start till 12:45 yesterday. sorry i didn't post anything yesteday. more important things were going on in the world than my music. i wish to express my sorrow to the families or friends that lost someone yesterday. i can't write anymore i'm too frustrated.
9/10/01: So this news page is up now. this is where you should look to in order to get the most knowledge on this thing as you can(or want to). My name is Skip(well not really, but that's what everyone calls me). i run this here site and, at the moment, have written all the homie songs that are up for download. i make them all in my little home studio. these songs are just demo's and are not yet the way they will be if a real band is ever formed. Homie's other half right now is Vito. He's on the bass guitar. We were both in a pretty successful weezer cover band for a while and now want to do some originals. some new versions of the songs will be up by next week. i'm gonna mix them a little better so they'll sound cooler. also, i think i'm gonna put up one rare weezer mp3 a week from my large archive for you homies to download. well have fun and write to me at homieisme@yahoo.com. later homies.
