Grand Manan Island Genealogies: The Purpose of this site is to make available the Genealogy's of the original settlers and their descendants readily available to those doing family research.

Restigouche Kempt Road (The): Hosted by Wendy Cosper, this site has extensive genealogy information on the families of Restigouche River and Kempt Road. Posted to the site are Wendy’s own family tree, the Broadlands Kempt Road Cemetery headstone photos and a newsletter. Wendy plans to add the old Matapedia cemetery to site in the future. UPDATED, November 5, 2007: The site has been refurbished and is back on-line. Although construction continues, the Kempt Road cemetery is loaded through to letter “D”. The family trees have a page of their own now.

Ruby M. Cusack - Genealogical Sources and Books of New Brunswick, Canada: Ruby has been writing a weekly genealogy column for the Telegraph-Journal, Saint John, NB for eight years. Her website contains her column, submitted queries, the Index To The Death Roll of the Saint John Globe, Beginners Guide to Genealogy, Books for Sale and many other items.

St. David Parish, Charlotte County, NB: Lots of genealogy information, including census, vital records and maps.

St. David Parish First World War Volunteers (1915 - 1917): Located in Charlotte County, NB, the partial list of men volunteering for the Canadian Expeditionary Force overseas is from the Philip Christie Collection microfilms at the St. Croix Public Library in St. Stephen, NB, film #12328. As stated on the St. David Parish website ( http://www.rootsweb.com/~nbstdavi/ ), the lists appear to cover the period from late 1915 until late 1917, and cover all of Charlotte County. The St. David individuals have been excerpted.

Broadlands Kempt Road Cemetery: This site, by Wendy Cosper has a photo of the cemetery and dozens of headstone photos. Also on site is a link to a complete list of those buried created by Jim MacIntyre. Wendy also hopes to post the old Matapedia Cemetery in the future.

Burial Grounds Care Society: Dedicated to researching and locating abandoned or neglected burial sites in Kings County, NB with eventual care and recognition.

Canada GenWeb Cemetery Project: This project aims to document the cemeteries of Canada. Transcriptions and photos are included. Links are provided for inscriptions already on-line.

Carsonville Cemetery: Located in northern part of Studholm Parish between Newtown and Head of Millstream,at sharp bend in Carsonville Road near center of community.

Kingston Peninsula Cemeteries: Names, locations and information on a few dozen cemeteries.

New Brusnwick and Nova Scotia Cemeteries: A collection of headstones photos from many cemeteries in the two provinces. Although many areas in New Brunswick are represented, only Amherst in Nova Scotia appears to have cemeteries photographed at this time (April 2008).

New Brunswick Gravestone Photo Project: The mission of the Project is to preserve digital images of the gravestones of our ancestors. As decades pass-- many of the inscriptions these stones originally contained are becoming harder, if not impossible, to read. Some stones have even disappeared entirely.

St. George's Churches and Cemeteries: A list of churches and cemeteries (with inscriptions) in St. George, Charlotte County, NB.


St. Paul's Anglican Church: St. Paul's Church and Cemetery are located along the shore of Kennebecasis Bay at the foot of a steep hill in Whitehead. Directly across the water at a distance of less than 1 km (6/10 of a mile) is Long Island. When St. Paul's was built, the location was chosen to provide a place of worship for the inhabitants of the Island. Many of the people buried in the cemetery have no markers, and a list of these people is given elsewhere.

New Brunswick Genealogical Society Inc.: Located in Saint John, NB. Lots of genealogy information on the website.

Queens County Historical Society and Museum: Is located at Tilley House & Queens Cuonty Court House, 69 Front St., Gagetwon, NB  Canada E5M 1A4. Lots of genealogy information on the website. Read about their new project for 2006: Earth, Wind and Fire, an exhibition funded by the Exhibition Renewal and New Museological Activities Support Program, Heritage Branch, Wellness, Culture and Sport, Province of New Brunswick.

Pennfield Parish Military Historical Society: Since January 26, 2007, Chris Larsen has been researching the history of the former WWII Air Station at Pennfield Ridge and the former army training grounds (Camp Utopia) at Utopia. Due to an ever-increasing interest in both of these former military bases and our veterans in general, he decided to form the “not-for-profit” society, “Pennfield Parish Military Historical Society Ltd.” to help further preserve the rich military history of this area. The purpose of this society is to discover, procure, collect, preserve, display and interpret material of historical value associated with the area and to work with other organizations that have similar goals. The Beaver Harbour Community Venture Ltd., located at 18 Quaker Lane in Beaver Harbour, has agreed to provide space in their archives so a display of artifacts, material, etc. can be made available to the public and further raise awareness of the sacrifices of the servicemen and women. Provincial Archives of New Brunswick (PANB): The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick collects, preserves, and makes available for research, documents and records bearing upon the history of New Brunswick.

UNB Libraries' Guide to Research in Genealogy: This guide recommends print and electronic sources available through UNB Libraries. Each section indicates appropriate search tools that can be used to find additional sources. Searches can be made for all of Canada or one of the four Atlantic Provinces.
