Memories are made of this!
Many of us loved going to the "Picture Show" at Hartford, on the west side of the square on Saturday afternoons for those B Westerns. The movie, Popcorn, and a coke cost about a quarter as I recall. Sometimes we could afford only the movie and had to pass up the popcorn and soda. I remember Milton McGregor, my brother and I usually sat together on those Saturday afternoons.
We listened to a variety of songs back then and it was Rock & Roll, Country, & Rhythm & Blues.
Now, how many of you remember the drive-in that was built west of Hartford out in a field (very close to the fourway west of town)? Many of us would go there on Saturday nights and listen to music and dance and hang out.
It brings back fond memories and there is hardly a day that goes by without thinking of our Classmates from ole Geneva Couty High and of recent times many of us have reconnected and renewed old friendships. Friendship is priceless and I consider each and everyone in our class a true friend.
